I love sharing breakfast or lunch with friends or family at Java Jack's. Soups and salads are my favorites for lunch. The coconut cake is the best I have ever had. The coffee is tasty and the sevice is great. Java Jack's adds a special feel to any conversation!

Ate here after yoga this afternoon with my class. I had the red pepper Gouda soup in a bread bowl & it was better than "good-a". Everybody enjoyed their lunch. The accommodated us in a room to ourselves. It was busy but our service was excellent & so was the food. Live Java Jacks!

I think I must have eaten here at least 200 times over the last 5 years as my favorite lunch time go to spot to meet friends, clients and acquaintances - great neutral territory! Make sure you check specials as there are usually at least four or more additional offerings! The ladies who serve you are a special bunch of... More

Also really great with our (elementary school age) kids. Definitely worth a stop - we were passing through on our way home from vacation.

Java Jacks is an awesome little café in the heart of Tappahannock. It's a welcome relief from the usual eating establishments. Great food, friendly service and even have cloth tablecloths!

I've eaten here several times over and have never had a meal I didn't like - including the crab quiche when I'm not really a quiche lover (something I chose the first time I ate here); have also enjoyed their fried oysters, which I'm picky about considering I love my mother's recipe. I actually crave going to Java Jacks -... More

What a great atmosphere, full of antiques! Comfortable and warm. Staff go out of their way to make patrons feel welcome. Full and varied breakfast menu with local favorites like crab and grits. Coffee is strong and delicious. Platters are large and well-prepared with fresh ingredients.

This is a very unique eatery. The wait staff were very friendly, the food was yummy and choices were many. Stopped for breakfast - eggs were fine, when you ask for medium - you get medium, not runny. All the food was yummy.

We were passing through on our way home and stumbled across Java Jacks! What a wonderful find! The art on the walls and the antiques were all for sale and interesting to look at while waiting for our food to arrive. The layout of the restaurant with the different rooms was unique. Great service and amazing food! I had the... More
