Well this will be a little wordy. Vintage Tavern used to be my favorite, was excellent in every respect. Hard to get a reservation and worth the effort to do. Economy crashes in 08 and staff cuts eat away the quality of the product, hey we all got to be profitable I understand. Still very good and the bride and... More

Our favorite place in Suffolk. The crab cakes are some of the best I have ever had. The shrimp and grits are also excellent. Their cornbread is awesome! The service is always excellent. Great wine list as well. Highly recommended.

This place has a lot of great chow. Normally hang out in the bar. Ordered a couple of specialty drinks and they were marvelous.....then had the BLT with softshell. One of us ate the BLT with the softshell; delicious. One had the softshell on the side; delicious......but the star of the show was the smoked potato salad. Neither of us... More

Great food and service but the restaurant seems focused on serving business travelers or those hoping to impress. Food is wonderful but a bit too planned. Seems like they are trying very hard to tell you know you are eating real Southern food. Perfect for the business traveler who wants to feel like they didn't miss out on a Southern... More

Last night my wife and I experienced one of the best meals we have had anywhere. Even though soft shells were only listed as an appetizer, Chef Kenny whipped us up an incredible dinner plate of Nansemond River soft shells over baby greens, field peas, and asparagus topped by their remoulaude sauce. We had our favorite 'crab' Chardonnay with it,... More

My husband and I love this restaurant. The food is always deliciously perfect, the ambiance is great, and the waitstaff are fast, friendly, and attentive with just the right amount of care. I recommend it for your next "occasion."

Service is very polite and attentive and the menu features locally-sourced food products. The ambience is warm and inviting. However, the with all that up front, I expected the food to match in quality. While our meals were good, they did not meet our expectations and this is true over several visits in the last year.
