This was our first time at A Taste of Burma, but won't be the last. All dishes were delicious, from the appetizers (we had summer rolls and green mango salad) to desserts (a semolina cake and an ice cream with tapioca and almonds). The main course was outstanding. We had the shrimp with green curry and the slow cooked beef... More

We have visited the restaurant every so often with Family and Friends. We got recommended to it by a family member and we dont regret going there. Food is very good it is a little expensive for the amount you do get but taste is very good... Service is sometimes slow - when it has been slow we have waited... More

A friend had recommended this restaurant and so when I came on business to the Virginia area I headed here straight from the Dulles airport. It is about 15 mins away. I ordered the lentil fritters (kind of like pakoras). These were delicious and were made with fresh ingredients and came with a slightly spicy tamarind/mint chutney. Usually fried dishes,... More

Wonderful food. Very tasty. I wish there had been vegetables in the dish. I would definitely come back and would recommend it.

Infused with Indian, Chinese, Thai and indigenous Burmese influences, this is about the best Burmese restaurant in Greater Washington. Their Fermented Tea Salad is very authentic and offers up unique flavors and crunch. Often they will hold back on the genuine combination and intensity of spices unless you ask for it. Crispy fried fish is always a treat here. A... More

Small tucked in restaurant in a busy stripmall. Walking in it's hospitable, clean and has stylish decore. We went on a Sunday afternoon and we were the only ones there. Very quiet relaxed atmosphere. Only two people as staff. Food brought to table in covered dishes. Full flavored and reasonable portions. Prices somewhat high, but the quality of the good... More

I was quite surprised when dining at "A Taste of Burma". Friends took me there, and I entered the restaurant with high expectations, given how they praised it. Both the starter/salad and the main dish deserved 5 out of 5 stars, and so did the dessert; the food was simply worth the money. If you want to break out of... More

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as I didn't have a chance to try really Burmese food when I visited Burma in 2009. I called in a take out order. They never asked my name and when they stated the price, I thought I had misheard. The restaurant was very nice though small and clean. My order... More

Love their tofu salad. This is the only one I had of its kind - crispy tofu in a tart sweet sauce. Serving is a bit small for the price. The prices in general are high but it's totally worth the experience.

We came across this restaurant while on vacation and were very impressed with the food. The chef/owner was very hospitable and helped us navigate the menu to find the right dishes for everyone's tastes. The split yellow pea fritter were very good and the spicy beef with string beans was delicious. If you live in the area and you haven't... More
