A seafood restaurant that opens at 4 p.m. Spacious and clean space. The food portion is generous and well seasoned, shrimps.

Captain Mas restaurant is located a bit out of the way in a highly congested shopping center mecca. We have to rate them excellent. Good service, great food and pleasant people. I had two wonderful crab cakes (very little filler) fries and coleslaw. My wife had fried shrimp sweet potato waffles and their great cole slaw. Everything was excellent. Very few guests in the restaurant.

I had a delicious crab 🦀 cake , with no fillers, I’ve had one there before and this was just as good, and I was able to substitute spinach for the fries,
My husband had delicious melting I your mouth fish and chips, we loved our dinner

bought 3 dozen blue crabs. Never had crabs with these consistancies. Some were hallow out in the body, not sure what happened to all the guts.
where the meat was suppose to be was mostly water. Others that had meat was strings of tasteless meat. My son got sick, but he was only one of the five of us who did.

No star!!!
We came here on a Saturday evening a day after Valentine's Day at around 8pm. When we're about to order, the female server told us we're going to be charged extra $15 per person if we're still going to be around at 9am since they Have a special event that night that starts at 9pm
First, very inappropriate to tell a customer who came prior to their scheduled event that we would be charged extra $15 per person for a scheduled event that we're not even aware of. It's not posted on their website and not even a poster at their front door. Of course, we left!!!!
The owner of the restaurant called us back apologizing and explaining that his female server does not know. I accepted the apology but I think the female sever has to be taught good business judgement and customer service. It's not a good excuse by the way to say that the female server didn't know as any person in their right mind should realize that doing what she did after giving to the customer the menu and spending time to pick their food selection, is really bad and inappropriate!!! First, she should have thought twice before she even said that to a customer that doing that is a potential loss of business. Customers who just want to eat dinner without having knowledge of their $15 extra charge for their event will definitely piss a customer. She is just plain stupid for doing that!!!!
This is our second time in this place, and believe me, there's not gonna be a third time!
By the way, the male server named leo is awesome while the female server didn't even have even a little of apology or reMorse and even showed some attitude when we returned and she should be replaced!!!

First and last time. This is not a good place to have dinner. They make you wait for over an hour, while the restaurant is almost empty. There may be a hidden purpose: after so much waiting time, you are so hungry that when the food arrives you may not even realize that is not tasty, too small and it's warmed up from factory made foods... The prices are huge for the little food on plate. As I've read past reviews, the place it's been constantly understaffed, an indication for poor management/ownership. Also,I have concerns about proper dish cleaning and proper food handling. Do not recommend!

The hospitality was excellent. The food was a little disappointing. The dishes were just average, but looking at the photo's online I expected the food to be a much better quality product. The whole rock fish was small and had very little eatable meat but the price and photo's would lead you to think otherwise. The rock fish filet with crabmeat topping was not impressive. It seem that the facility is more of a crab leg place that attempts to offer other seafood dishes. The prices were in line with what I would have expected from a more upscale facility but this facility feel extremely short of the mark.

After a long and exhausting day with a client, having never visited the area I had no idea where to go dinner. I wanted a place the was not trendy and attracted locals. Captain Mas was perfect. The wait staff did not hover, there was a 3 man combo playing, sports played on televisions around bar and could be seen from the dinning areas. The wait staff was very nice and very helpful. The food was very good.

Had a very nice meal there. Our party of three got very attentive service, the owner/manager touched out table to see how we were enjoying the food and we left very satisfied with the food. Nice temperature inside the restaurant and a soft, relaxing ambiance. I had the fried seafood platter which consisted of fried cod, oysters, fries, hushpuppies and shrimps that were amonth the largest (and most delicious) I've ever had. I will be back, thanks for a great dining experience.

Best place in the area for seafood. It's a bit pricey, but appropriate for quality seafood. The menu is large, so there is something for everyone (including non seafood entrees). The location is very hidden, which probably hurts their business. We did have one time on a holiday in the snow that we tried to go and they were understaffed. But in general we have had very good service.

Arrived on time for a Fathers Day reservation. The host ignored us when we walked in. Didn’t greet or seat us. When we finally got sat we were taken to a table that was up against a wall in the back. It had a coat rack beside it partially obstructing the aisle. Manager was rude about moving its d only pushed it over somewhat instead of removing it.
Service was extremely slow. Order all you can crab legs. Each time they’d bring less and less out. Then we began to smell smoke. We were told something was on fire in the kitchen. The smell was horrible and it began to make us choke. We had to leave at once. We paid our bill but was not offered anything for the incident. And by anything, I mean a simply apology.

Great place for seafood with top notch service and gracious hosts. The owner Mas came over to talk to us and really made us feel welcome. Our waiter Steven was super friendly and made sure that our large party of seven was well taken care of. What he knew he shared. What he didn’t he inquired and made sure we enjoyed our meal. Portions are huge with sides overflowing so beware when ordering. Don’t skip the crab or on the appetizers as they are both yummy and just the right size. We missed the live music but would certainly come back for it.

I had the Crab Cakes and Lobster and both were excellent. The Crab Cakes and Clam Chowder were as good as any I’ve ever had. I was pleasantly surprised by the superb quality & quantity of the food. The staff was very friendly.

I recently had the chance to try the restaurant for the first time, a friend who grew in Maryland, said he wanted to eat whole crabs, which they offered. My friend got what he wanted but was a little disappointed that apparently the Crabs were not fresh steamed. I ordered a steam pot, that wasn't bad, but they got my order wrong cause I didn't want any of the Crawfish, and they forgot, also I never got my appetizer. Like I said they do offer a nice selection of seafood, but if you are an expert maybe not the place for you.
