This restaurant was used to be our favorite and we were used to be regular customers for many years. The previous owners and servers were always so pleasant and we used to always give them big tips, especially the sushi makers. But after tonight dinner, we'll never, ever going back to this Otani in Sterling, VA again. The new people/management... More

I used to like this restaurant even so it was pricy. I have been disappointed lately with the quality of the food. Always overpriced even with promo coupon. At this point, it does not worth the money to pay for it now. Will not come back again for awhile.

Started with a watered soup that looked and tasted like dishwater. Really, it could have been better because it certainly could not have cost much to make. Had a variety of dishes. The shrimp might have been best. The steak was tough and not much. The fried rice was fun to watch but he dropped an egg and never replaced... More

We live near by so we came here often mostly because the kids like the show. But prices keep going up, food is becoming average to below average and the entertainment is not what it used to be, maybe we just weren't lucky with our "chef". I didn't like the fact that the guy made fun of my 5 year... More

Went for business dinner. I started with a sushi roll and it was ok. The hibachi was ok as well. The portions were not that much. I received very little fried rice and noodles. The scallops were good and the shrimp was good as well. The filet mignon was very chewy and I could not eat it. Very dissapointing. For... More

The food was good and the prices in line with other Japanese steak houses. The difference I noted was with the vegetables. In other Japanese steak houses I've been to over the years , the vegetables were bean sprouts, zucchini, mushrooms, and onions. At Otani it was noodles, zucchini, onion, mushroom, carrots. Not a huge difference but my preference would... More

My brother got a groupon for here and on black Friday we were too beat from working cleaning out our barn and garage for the entire day. So we decided to swing by harbor frieght and then go have dinner here. We were exhausted and not really in a partying mood-wanted to eat and get home. Fortunately our table was... More

Our family went to Otani, in Countryside, on a weekday, for a celebration (I did not know how busy it would get on the weekends). The food was great, the service also very good. We were very happy and will def. go back. The only suggestion I have is for them to update their online prices to match their real... More

Went here with family and friends for dinner. Everybody had the hibachi dinner and it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The steak was a bit dry and wasn't as tasty as we wanted. Just ok.

We tend to go to Otani when we get a groupon type deal. It is a fun experience, and the habachi food always tastes good (I've never tried their sushi). The place is fairly large, but very cave like - the windows are dark, it feels a little dingy. They never seem to be very busy. I've never been to... More
