Based on positive reviews and since we were in the area, we stopped here on a weekday night at Siam Spice. The restaurant, located in a strip mall, has a fairly good-sized menu with selections ranging from traditional Thai dishes to other Asian dishes. The...dining area has seating that can seat under 50 or so patrons. Siam Spice does not serve alcoholic beverages but has several types of bubble tea. We shared the papaya salad ($7) which was spicy but a bit to fishy for me. Entrees ranged in price from $11 to S15 with your choice of chicken, pork, beef, vegetable, tofu, scallop, shrimp or mussel. Lunch specials (Monday through Friday until 3 pm) include your choice of one of three appetizers and one from a list of about 12 entrees for $9.99. My husband said the Pad Thai with chicken ($11) was good as was my Veggie Delight entrée served with rice. I was charged an extra $2.00 for the shrimp in spite of the fact the menu stated it was included in the $11 cost. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Siam Spice had a vigorous carry-out business while we were there.More

I found myself with a wall to wall schedule of calls and meetings one day at my office in Ashburn, with a single 15 minute break in the action. A hankering for Thai and a search for delivery options led me to Siam Spice. Two...of three dishes I had were excellent, and one was fine but unremarkable - so net that out to 4 stars, though maybe one could do better based on all one ordered. A salad called "chicken salad" reads like the definition of chicken larb (ground chicken, red onions, lime juice, exotics spices) but the flavor profile is a little different than I've had previously and I absolutely loved their version. This was a 5 star dish. I ordered the hottest option of the three choices offered for delivery), and it wasn't too hot. Packed with flavor. This dish will bring me back for more, for certain. Tom Kha Gai soup (chicken, coconut milk, spiciest of the three options offered) was a great version. But it was also mind blowingly spicy (it made me cry, and I'm not exaggerating). I wonder if the kitchen accidentally double spiced it, but if not I'd suggest a more modest spice selection on this soup unless you are a fan of super spicy foods like ghost peppers and the like. Even overly hot this was excellent. Only Perfect Ginger Chicken didn't delight, of the three things I ordered. It was perfectly acceptable and not very remarkable; I suspect there are other better options waiting to be discovered. Will certainly be ordering from here again - that "chicken salad" was spectacular.More

We overnighted at a nearby hotel before a long-haul flight from Dulles. We love Thai food and were blown away by the authenticity and flavor in every dish we ordered. It was one of the best meals we had during our month long stay in...the US. I highly recommend the papaya salad and green curry. You will not be disappointed!More

Delicious dinner. The restaurant is a place of calm on a hot evening Our waitress, Kay, was very helpful and pleasant. The pork pad Thai was very good and the tofu green curry was excellent. My wife enjoyed the Tom kha soup also. Everything was...fresh and wonderfully prepared. We'll be back. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes. Gotta have some more of that green curry!!More

We were a party of 3 for a family dinner. Somewhat surprised by how small the restaurant is, tucked away in this neighborhood shopping center, but the food and service were very good. Our server was friendly and smiling throughout, and the food was sent...from the kitchen efficiently. We enjoyed papaya salad, satay, a tofu curry, pad Thai, and beef with basil. Everything tasted fresh, like home cooking. Will definitely visit again.More

The food was delicious. The fish sauce and the sauce that accompanied the steak were the game changer. Even the salad that accompanied the appetizer had a nice kick. Sun dried beef appetizer is new. If you like it tender, just let them know during...the time of order. Otherwise it felt little chewy. Staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs.More

Visiting Dulles International Airport, we found this restaurant. Though it is in a big, new shopping center, it was a very homey and personal exposure to some of the most delicious Thai food we have had. The staff and the owner were very attentive and...helpful. Visit the Siam Spice if you have the chance. We will go back.More

Siam Spice replaced the Pattaya Reastuarant in this same location, but after a long hiatus with notjhing there. We happened upon it last week, and couldnot be happier - the excellent food that used to mark this restaurant has returned, even better than before and...with a wider selection and more amiable staff. This will again be one of our "go-to" restaruants for good food and very reasonable prices. The location is a small drawback, in a very quiet strip mall with a Laundromat as its apparent anchor store, but that means there is never an issue with parking, and unlikely you will ever need to queue for a table. But that is a huge advantage to the clients, even if the place gets the attention and clientele it so very well deserves. The ambience in the restaurant is limited, not very posh but certainly warm and welcoming. The manager ("Yo") typifies the happy, smiling and ever pleasant Thai staff, very personable and appropriately chatty without being obtrusive. Delightful chap. But the real draw is the food. Even though we have only been there one time since they re-opened, it was enough to convnce us to put this back on our list of favourites. The food is excellent, with large portions and great flavour. I especially commend their Spicy Crispy Tilapia with Chili sauce - superb! The beef Kra Pow was tender and delicious, as was the Red Curry Chicken. Cannot wait to go back. Great for family, couples dating, and friends - not quite the typical business meal location, but if you have a client who appreciates good food even without traditonal business atmosphere, this is a very good place to come.More

Service was unfriendly to start with—maybe because they wanted to be out trick or treating or something and there was no one in the restaurant but me—maybe that was a clue. You would neve guess that a dish called “Siamese Black Pepper” served at a...place called “Siam Spice” would be bland, but boy was it. Of course I wasn’t offered any condiments or even anything to drink besides water, so I got some seasoning off the bar and that at least made the dish palatable, but wow. I won’t be going back any time soon.More
