This was a good restaurant but not great. It has been there for a long time and is a good option for a quick stop. I was disappointed that something like Mac and cheese was not homemade. The soup was homemade but the pieces of vegetables were so big they needed to be taken out and cut up. Our waiter... More

Had a pleasant meal while passing by. Close to the interstate making it easy to visit. The food was plentiful. No going away hungry here. The pies looks great. If you like country cooking this is the place for you.

While on the road we stopped by Mrs. Rowe's Restaurant and Bakery as dinner was winding down. The food is good family style menu and presentation. Portions are hefty. But what ever you do you MUST save room for a piece of pie topped with ice cream. The pies are a specialist of Mrs. Rose's and you will not be... More

We had a great breakfast here. Our group all had something different and all were happy! Beware, their cinnamon rolls are HUGE.

This was my first time trying the local restaurant. Very friendly atmosphere. Home made/ Home cooked food. Some family recipes. I can definitely tell this is a good old fashion southern restaurant and will make sure to put it on my list, when I return to the area.

Our family had breakfast at Mrs. Rowe's. Nice selection of breakfast choices and we had very good service. French toast and sausage were good, but nothing special or memorable. That seemed the consensus at our table...lots of food went uneaten. Nothing to complain about, but no reason really to return.

We read positive reviews and decided to stop for lunch on the road. I ordered the "three sides" special. Salad was out of a bag with a slice of onion and ranch dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy were passable but lukewarm and the baked tomatoes were inedible - loaded with sugar! Hubs had hot turkey sandwich, plenty of bread and... More

On way back to Charlottesvile from Marlington, WVA, stopped at Mrs. Rowe's for late Friday afternoon lunch. Have been stopping for over 20 years. Home style cooking is always great!! Hot roast beef sandwich has never been better!! Order sandwich rather than meal & try coconut and pecan pies are the best. We always purchase frozen meals to take home!... More

I had read about this restaurant so on our way to Virginia Beach, my daughter and I stopped. It was lunch time. She ordered a BBQ and it was not good. It was also very liquidly. The slaw that came with it was also very liquidly. We joked you needed a straw. I ordered a BLT and that would be... More

We stopped for lunch here on our way home on a Sunday. It's at the Staunton exit just off of I-81. OK - it's Sunday in Virginia and folks go out for Sunday dinner... and most had arrived by the time we got their at 12:45 pm. We were greeted by a smiling young lady and said there would be... More
