Food was great, especially the asparagus brie bisque--yum!! Service was very cheerful but a little slow. But then, we weren't in a particular hurry--just hungry! It's location is handy to everything in cute little Staunton, and only a block from where we stayed. It was very busy with what seemed to be a local crowd--always a good sign.

Our party of four dined here tonight, prior to seeing Comedy of Errors at Blackfriar's Playhouse. The only thing missing was a Lazy Susan for the table. We ordered 8 tapas to share, along with salads and soup. Excellent charcuterie platter with a surprising riff on pimento cheese: goat cheese with peppadews. We also feasted on caprese salad, bruschetta, chicken... More

We went there as we were told this was a great place. The wines were fairly well priced and the waitron was very attentive. The waitron described the specials while we wondered about what to order over tapas which were fantastic. So we made our order...both specials for the night...flounder stuffed with crabmeat and lamb chops (2) with a special... More

We were following a recommendation from Frederick House Hotel for a light, fresh and wholesome meal before heading to the theatre. We told our waitress we were on a tight schedule and the service was so fast the meal was not rushed and we had ample time to find the theatre. The menu had plenty of choice and we were... More

The folks here were very welcoming of a single diner. Bartender (I was invited to wait at the bar while my table was cleared) did not have time in the five minutes I sat there, to take my drink order. Then my table was ready. Nice tapas, portions a bit out of whack - I ordered the olive appetizer and... More

We went for an early pre-show dinner and the tapas-style menu fit our appetite, and schedule, well. They open at 5 PM and the service was fast enough that we did not need to rush to make it to Blackfriar's Theater for the show, which is only 2 blocks away. The food was wonderful and the service was pleasant and... More

Aioli is a big city spot in a small city locale. The menu includes a dozen or so tapas and several full size entrees, as well as daily specials. All are delish!. I have been to Aoili many times and am never disappointed, especially when Madeline is our server. She is a a multitasking delight...being both bartender and server...and, taking... More

Really nice atmosphere in this tiny restaurant. Great for couples. They had nice music on Thursday night and apparently that is recurring. Some of the tapas were good and very reasonably priced. The mussels and scallops were very good as was the bread. We also got a tart, the sausage, and charcuterie which were good but not great. The one... More

Aioli's food is beautiful as well as delicious, visually like nouvelle cuisine but with larger portions. The dining room is small but elegant, decorated with lovely paintings by local artists, and it has a beautiful bar. Service is excellent if occasionally a little slow, but they will ask when you make reservations if you are on a tight schedule. Reservations... More

We were so tired from a long car trip and just needed to relax, and we were delighted with our server, Stephanie. She seemed to be able to anticipate just what we were about to request. The food was very good, and the wine and cocktails excellent. We recommend the lamb especially. Overall a wonderful experience.
