This restaurant celebrates its sourcing of local food from such celebrated farmers like Joel Salatin of nearby Polyface Farm. It was an easy choice to select the chicken from Polyface and I wasn't disappointed. This was a happy chicken - one that lived its life being a chicken and working on a farm. We weren't necessarily planning on eating dinner... More

We decided to spring for the chef's table wine pairing dinner, and loved it! A tad pricey at $77 per person, but totally worth it. The four wine pairs were both generous and of good quality, the service was swift and friendly, and the restaurant's decor is very stylish. We will definitely eat here the next time we are in... In Staunton for the Classical music Fest and having a problem finding good food after the evening show. These guys get it, they served late to accommodate the musicians and audience. Went with 2 other guys and all had great meals. Pasta primavera was said to be the best ever, my chicken Confitk shocked at the crispy skin and moist... More

Just around the corner from our hotel; this place is a delight. Every forkful delicious. Almost went for the tasting menu, but opted for the trout entree. Go out of your way to try this!

A friend & I visited Zynodoa last night for dinner & drinks. Daniel, our bartender, was attentive, friendly, & very helpful. The drinks were delicious, perfectly balanced cocktails. We both ordered the scallops for dinner. They were delicious. Even though our white beans were way undercooked in the dish, the manager made it right by offering a new dish or... More

I dare you to find something on their farm-to-table menu you don't like. From starters to dessert, this is one of the finest experiences we have had in a lot of travels. Welcoming atmosphere and great staff (like Meg!) make this a real treat. Fresh and innovative dishes and presentations all around. Try the gazpacho with tomato granita and the... More

Zynodoa ("Shenandoah" in the local native American language) has anchored Staunton cuisine for some time. The chef, formerly of Inn at Little Washington fame, is brilliant and we were not disappointed during our second visit to this gem. My wife began with a gin specialty cocktail which was delicate, fragrant and generous while I selected from one of their many... More

We have visited this place twice, but will be going more frequently for sure! Both times the service has been outstanding, and the food is amazing! Everything is fresh, local and prepared perfectly! The wine selection makes for perfect pairings. I highly recommend you start with the artisan cheese plate. If you are lucky enough to go when they have... More

This was our fourth or fifth visit to Zynodoa, and it continues to delight us. The starter - fried oysters - were the low point on an overall fine dinner. Trout on local mushrooms was beautifully presented. Pork shoulder with smoked polenta was a treat for my dinner partner. Cocktails were fresh and perfect for the season. And the wait... More
