I think this quaint and peaceful place is kept secret by the locals to maintain the placid feel. A friend who is local invited me to Zum Rheingarten. Having driven up and down that highway a number of times, I couldn't place it in my mind. After locating it, I was relieved. Set off from the road behind a concealing... More

We went here to celebrate our anniversary and they were packed. I think our server was new so the service was good but not great. The chef made a special vegetable plate for me.for my entree and my husband had chicken with mushroom sauce with cherries. He loved it and I loved my vegetarian plate. We also had an appetizer... This was my favorite spot for a nice lunch when I worked nearby. My Austrian son-in-law had recommended it highly, and I soon saw why. This visit was no disappointment. The service was quick, friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the beer was good (of course!), the atmosphere is charming, the look and feel seem to me pretty close... More

A very authentic looking German restaurant in an old house. Staff was dressed in authentic costumes and very efficient. The food was quite good but I have had better sauerbraten. I would recommend this restaurant, although it seems out of place near a marine base.

Not worth a trip to Stafford if you are in the Fredericksburg area or parts North. The food is bland, and the service is spotty.

My wife and I have had both lunch and dinner here and the food has always been very good. We have never been disappointed. It is good German food. Service is also good.

Ate dinner there with wife and another couple. Was a slow rainy Sunday evening and the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived around 7pm. Only three more tables arrived while we were there. Server was polite and knowledgeable concerning the menu and the specials for the evening. Our food arrived promptly and was fabulous. Would recommend this establishment to... More

My wife and I hired a babysitter and wanted to have a nice meal. We have always wanted to try Rheingarten and were not disappointed. We made reservations...upon our arrival there was a fancy plate with our name on it and welcoming us in German. Our server and all the other staff were dressed in German apparel and our service... Driving from NC to NJ we stopped for Birthday dinner at this lovely place, the birthday boy is of German descent, we showed up without reservations and luckily they had a table for us. The staff dressed in German garb. Dinner was delicious followed by the best bread pudding with whipped cream which was brought to the table to a... More

Worth every penny. The staff is friendly and I loved that they take the time to discuss the menu with me. Also loved how all items in the menu are made fresh everyday and it taste like home made legit Cuisine from the homeland!!
