We held the main dinner of our reunion at the Rheingarten. The patio or Bier Garten was set with tables replete with Marine Corps. colors. The food was wonderful. Some had never had authentic German food, and everyone remarked how wonderful all of it was. Ms. Lenore and Sherry did a spectacular job to make this mile stone a experience... More

Plenty of room inside this German style restaurant even with a large retirement party in full swing. However, there were few german style appetizers on the lunch menu. The entrees however were almost all German style. The goulash (Hungarian style) was very well spiced and very good. I asked for a change from potato to spaetzle which was no problem.... More

The schnitzel was easily the best I have ever eaten. The streusel was absolutely wonderful! I have spent significant time in Central Europe and ate nothing that tasted better than this restaurant.

I think this quaint and peaceful place is kept secret by the locals to maintain the placid feel. A friend who is local invited me to Zum Rheingarten. Having driven up and down that highway a number of times, I couldn't place it in my mind. After locating it, I was relieved. Set off from the road behind a concealing... More

We went here to celebrate our anniversary and they were packed. I think our server was new so the service was good but not great. The chef made a special vegetable plate for me.for my entree and my husband had chicken with mushroom sauce with cherries. He loved it and I loved my vegetarian plate. We also had an appetizer... This was my favorite spot for a nice lunch when I worked nearby. My Austrian son-in-law had recommended it highly, and I soon saw why. This visit was no disappointment. The service was quick, friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the beer was good (of course!), the atmosphere is charming, the look and feel seem to me pretty close... More

A very authentic looking German restaurant in an old house. Staff was dressed in authentic costumes and very efficient. The food was quite good but I have had better sauerbraten. I would recommend this restaurant, although it seems out of place near a marine base.

Not worth a trip to Stafford if you are in the Fredericksburg area or parts North. The food is bland, and the service is spotty.

My wife and I have had both lunch and dinner here and the food has always been very good. We have never been disappointed. It is good German food. Service is also good.

Ate dinner there with wife and another couple. Was a slow rainy Sunday evening and the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived around 7pm. Only three more tables arrived while we were there. Server was polite and knowledgeable concerning the menu and the specials for the evening. Our food arrived promptly and was fabulous. Would recommend this establishment to... More
