We were looking for a small cafe we saw the last time we were in town that was near the courthouse. We didn't find that, but we did find this cafe and am I glad we did. Fresh baked apple turnover, margarita cheesecake that was so amazing, chocolate croissant and a chocolate eclair. Everything was outstanding as was the French... More

The staff was very friendly. The food was excellent. And the smoked salmon, specifically, was terrific.

I live in Roanoke and eat here for lunch frequently. The salads are enormous, fresh and delicious. Their house dressing is a basil vinaigrette, which is tasty. I also love their coconut cream croissants and their roasted vegetable flatbread sandwich. This place works well for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.

This place couldn't disappoint, even if it tried. We started with drip coffee which was great. I like creamer in mine and they used Homestead Creamery cream, only the best! We first munched on a double chocolate scone and a HEFTY slice of cinnamon raisin bread drizzled in icing. Our main breakfast dish took about 20 minutes, we were told... More

The French toast special was spectacular! The eggs florentine was worth waiting for. Really enjoyed the French press too. Will come back first chance I get. 👍👍

We had a great breakfast here today during our day in downtown. The pastries are absolutely wonderful as was my parfait. I'm sure we will be back before we leave town.

Thank goodness I don't live near the Bread Craft or else I would weigh a million pounds. We went to Bread Craft for breakfast because we had delicious bread from the bakery at a local restaurant the night before. There were so many tasty goodies to choose from but we went with a cheese danish, peach/mint turnover, and a slice... More

We went today with dad and our teen son, looking for a Father's Day brunch out that was not too crowded. The special was caramel French toast with bacon. I don't think we have ever had such delicious bacon, the meal was amazing. I had salmon quiche and salad, perfect. The half salad was a huge portion and would have... More

You purposely ruin my diet with your flakey buttery croissants!!! You lured me in with your amazing cheese danish, that you only make on Thursdays, forcing me to try other things. You like toying with my emotions don't you!! You serve these delicate treats with a smile knowing I'll be back . You taunt me with your cheerful service and... More

Actually, this is the VERY best bakery in Roanoke! That is especially nice sine it is locally owned and operated. It offers fantastic European-style breads and awesome pastries. It is a favorite meeting place and hang out for killing time downtown. This is an icon of the downtown Roanoke renewal. Don't miss it!!

It is our goal to introduce the Roanoke area to our style of baking. There is a simple joy in eating a loaf of bread made fresh daily and not loaded down with preservatives to make it last for weeks as it travels from one part of the country to another. Our bread is fresh and local. The hard crust provides satisfaction of eating something substantial. And the soft yet firm crumb contrasts the mouth-
