This is a family favorite of ours. You can go super casual or dress up. The bar area feels nicely separated from the main dining areas. So, parents who like to shield your kids from bar coversations or alcohol, feel safe to bring your small kids and still be able to enjoy the family atmosphere in other parts of the... More

While visiting the area we happily stumbled across Montano's after another restaurant had an hour wait. We were seated immediately (at 7 PM on a Saturday night) and were pleasantly surprised with the variety offered on the menu. Traditional American bar & grill food is served along with extensive seafood, Italian, and Brazilian options. I went the with a Brazilian... More

Lots to choose from on the menu. You can do Seafood, Italian, sandwiches or Brazillian. I chose a dish I had never heard of. Feijoda is a black bean and meat stew. It was delicious and I wasn't ashamed to sop up the gravy with the bread they provided.

This place is not what I expected. When you walk in, you are in a market. Then you pass into the restaurant. The menu is impressive and they have all kinds of wine and beer. The ahi tuna was crazy good! Also the bread & oil is the best Ive had. Only complaint...we saw a bottle of wine we wanted... More

Montano's is a very popular restaurant with an extensive menu but overall is just okay. Recently my 90 year old mother, who is a fan of this restaurant, and I had lunch there. The owner was leaning on the hostess stand but left as we approached. We stood there for a good 5 minutes, my mother with her walker, as... More

My son & I visited here after looking for gluten free options in Roanoke. It's a casual ambiance & the food & service were fantastic! My son had grilled wings & churasco with black beans & rice & he loved it all. I had one of the BEST seared tuna appetizers I've had in ages as well as mussels in... More

My husband and I went to Montano's for dinner on a Friday night (make reservations!). Our request for a quiet table in the corner was honored which we greatly appreciated, as it was a super busy night. Our waitress was friendly and knew the menu and the specials quite well. We had a couple of their specialty cocktails which were... More

We walked to this restaurant from our motel. The food is great and very reasonably priced. I would love to go back and try more items on their menu.

Universally recommended by family. Perhaps, my expectations were too high! Fried oysters were acceptable as was crab cake. Roanoke's a long way from the sea. Service was good -- very comical!

Was not impressed with this place. Very loud, couldn't hear my husband next to me talking. Waiter was good at first. When we didn't order a appetizers he seamed to be put off. I would not recommend this place.
