Visited with family and friends. The server accommodated people in our party who arrived at different times, and was courteous and professional. Drinks, appetizers, and entrees were excellent - overall a positive experience.

We ate her twice in the paste month and found the food to be subpar for the price. To be fair I am not a huge italian fan anyway but the dishes lacked pizazz - if I am going to eat italian I better be wowed and it should taste out of this world. My daughter had their pizza and... More

We had an incredible meal here last night. We all started with drinks, which were fantastic and served quickly. Three of us had their regional tasting menu and every thing we had was as good as I've had in Italy. Highly recommend the restaurant.

This place hits a lot of highs; it is a solid 4.5 for Reston. Really nice WL; nice range with some great high cost and low cost choices. Romantic ambiance, high service, friendly aspect, family treatment of its employees. Menu is diverse. Nice presentation. I always stay for dessert because they earn me spending extra time and money.

4 dinners, all excellent. Service was superb. You prefer outdoor patio? Prepare for street noise and some secondhand smoke from park across the street. We could deal with it and our companions were ok. We had ravioli, (one veggie with butternut squash filling, and one with the sausage puree), a slightly sturdier chicken cannelloni, and a grill chicken with shell... More

Went to happy hour on a Sunday. From 4:00 to 6:30, good selection of food items for $6.00. Drink specials are also priced at $6.00. Good variety of drinks at happy hour. Wine at the happy hour pricing was lacking, only one white and one red at the $6.00 price point. Good service and good food. The place didn't get... More

My husband and I stopped at Il Fornaio on a rainy late Saturday afternoon to grab a bite before the theater with plans to eat a full meal afterward. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated immediately in the bar area on extremely comfortable cushioned stools at a small round table in a corner. The place wasn't crowded... More

We live nearby and keep coming back, hoping something has changed for the good. Never again! Usually it’s the wine that gets us first—we order a bottle on the list and they bring us a bottle from a different year, or something else entirely saying they just ran out of the bottle we ordered. Often it’s the food, which is... More

Traveled to restin virginia for a cooking class my mother in law and husband had attended a few years ago. She was so impressed with class and area she wanted to share experience with my husband and I. The class was great. The food was excellent. The best and nicest thing was when chef told manager we had come far... More

In the tradition of Italy's trattorias, the sight, sounds and aromas of authentic Italian cuisine are recreated fresh everyday at Il Fornaio. Literally "the baker" in Italian, Il Fornaio offers wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade and imported pastas; pizzas from a wood burning oven; fresh salads and housemade soups; antipasti and a wide variety of desserts made daily from scratch. The first two weeks of each month a special menu from a different region of Italy is featured as part of Festa Regionale.
