My family and I visited MooThru on the way back from a family trip. We couldn't resist the smell of homemade waffle cones and the thought of farm fresh dairy ice cream. We were not disappointed. We each got something different, everything from and blackberry shake to a waffle cone with cinnamon and banana ice cream. They have flavors that... More

Wonderful roadside stop to take a break, stretch the legs, grab a picnic table, and order some fresh-from-the-farm ice cream or shakes. The order-outside building also offers special grilled cheese sandwiches (nom) and large hot dogs with or without chili. The stop is also dog-friendly where owners can buy a pup cup, complete with ice cream and some dog biscuits... More

This ice-cream is pure heaven. I had a giant waffle cone with 3 flavors and it was delicious, banana, chocolate and mounds, oh my goodness !!!!!' All the ice-cream is made from local dairy cows. Well worth the trip!

They make the ice cream from the cows you see in ther fields around the place. Its fresh with amazing ingredient. You must also try their grilled cheese sammie.

Great ice cream and service. Waffle cones are very good too. Great selection for ice cream. They also have a great grilled cheese sandwich. Mounds ice cream did not have the taste and flavor of a mounds candy bar.

We pass here several times a month and it is hard to drive on past! As other reviewer noted, the line has grown through the years of operation. We have never been disappointed in a flavor, but we both agree the blackberry is our favorite. The line does move but at times it can back up, especially with some larger... More

We found Moo Thru a couple of months ago after following the recommendation of friends. The ice cream and the waffle cones are incredible. The Blackberry is my favorite. Any of the chocolates are good and if you really like chocolate try the Dark Chocolate.

We've been going here on our trips up and down 29 for about 4 years and have seen the Moo Thru get busier and busier. There's always a line, but they do a good job taking the orders efficiently and handing out the ice cream. There were about 10 people in front of us when we got there, and it... More

My husband and I were driving home from Spotsylvania on another hot night and he asked if we could stop here. I was reluctant because I really just don't think the ice cream is all that. I agreed and we pulled in. Went to the window and ordered are ice cream (they did have soft serve this time) and went... More

They use their own milk from their herd. Good solid flavors, high butter fat, beware of "brain freeze". Service is fast, good covered outside seating. You also can stay in your car and drive through for your order.
