Excellent food and service. Small but adequate and filling portions. Large menu of daily fresh cooked items. On-street parking and nearby parking garage.

Each course of my meal was very tasty. My first time there, and they did not disappoint! Loved the "old world" atmosphere.

We tried this restaurant on the advice of a friend and were not disappointed. The décor is brick and wood with many interesting pieces of artwork on the walls. The "drinks person" who is a sommelier recommended a great wine. The food was delicious as was the desserts and coffee. The only reason I have not given a "5" was... More

Private dining on a weeknight. I was the only diner. What a shame to read about one of the best places in Portsmouth and see it so underutilized. I suspect I know why. I ordered the special of yellowfin tuna and requested medium rare. It came to the table dry and overcooked – well done. The sauce Provencal was spicy... More

There are many good restaurants in Hampton Roads, Cafe Europa is considered among the best. For good reason. The food is superb, as is the service and the ambiance. With nightly special offerings, a surprise awaits with every visit. Our meals were deliciously memorable. The Tomato Bisque with crab meat was almost sinful it was so good!

My bowl was way too small..... Excellent. I had their scallop dish which was superb and. My husband had a pork... More

Great food, nice people and the largest dessert selection I can remember. One of the few places that will make go back to Portsmouth.

Cafe Europa has been a favorite for many years. The food is innovative and excellent and the restaurant has an old world ambiance you usually only find in Europe. The owners and staff are extremely friendly. It is definitely worthwhile to take the trip through the tunnel if you live in Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. To make the trip... More

Award winning European food, in a romantic very setting. This is my favorite restaurant in Virginia. I try not to use it only for special occasions but can't always get back to town. From lunch to dinner, there is no rush as the food is prepared fresh daily to your liking by course. The cost is very reasonable I think... More
