Went with a girlfriend and was so impressed. My husband doesnt like seafood so when I make a lunch date I make sure seafood is on the menu. I had a hard time deciding but for the value why not order more than one. My friend and I ordered two different things and shared. Definitely a place I want to... More

Don't let the older decor fool you, the food is great. We enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the soup and crab dip. We had very good service too!

Excellent service! Food was great and a real value for the price! Loved the Hush Huppies that were served before our meal.

Seafood pasta was delicious and came with 2 sides for $9.25. Son had shrimp and scallop pasta with 2 sides and he loved the spicy red sauce. My husband had the crab cake sandwich with ham and swiss and he said very good. Hidden gem with reasonable prices for seafood.

Wow, I was in the area and reached out to a friend, TJ the PJ, and he recommended we meet at the Lobscouser. I had no idea what he was saying the name was so I asked him for an address and nearby parking. I parked on a nearby street where you are required to pull in backwards to a... More

We were touring historic Portsmouth and wanted some good cheep burgers. We stumbled across this place which looked a little uppity. 3 of us had burgers and fries and my wife had baked chicken sandwich with fries. We had water to drink and the total bill was $25. The burgers were fantastic and the chicken sandwich also. The atmosphere was... More

TRULY A SHAME ! One of my family's favorite go to gems for nearly 20 years has taken a great fall. This reviewer, believe me, hopes for a comeback. How we wished this was a one time slip. Anyone can have an off night. Alas, we returned twice more after that first disappointing evening (approximately 4 months ago)to repeat performances.... More

I ate there last week with some friends and we didn't have the stellar experience others have bragged about. Our food seemed to taste full of filler and somewhat overcooked. None of us with our broiled seafood platters and linguini plates were very impressed. We were also kind of put-off by our waiter's odd sense of humor. Sorry, Lobscouser.
