Chose this place for an early pre-concert dinner and it had been on our "try" list for some time! Our waitress informed us it was also Restaurant Week in Portsmouth so we had the option of a special menu if we wanted.(pic attached) It was...More

Our server was as bad as I have had in a restaurant of this caliber in a very long time. She did not know the menu, could not answer our questions, told my pescatarian companion that if she wanted the Shrimp & Grits without the...More

I've been to Stove quite a few times and have never left disappointed...perhaps mildly let-down due to slight lack of seasoning, but that is a very minor "complaint." The cheese plate offerings are absolutely to die for (the pimiento is a must-order!). I love that...More

Can't say enough about Stove. From the artisan bread and peppered butter, to the shrimp and grits...everything was delicious. The relish on the cheese plate was my favorite, so much that I ordered a pound of it to go. Will definitely visit again.

Fair food. Eclectic decor. Too crowded. Not much ambiance.Too much pork dishes. Did not have a memorable evening.

We really had high expectations as we had heard and read so much about Stove. It has very quirky, interesting decor, and is a very small place. Being able to choose different types of cheese as an appetizer was neat--and the cheese was delicious, as...More

Meal: Some great things on the menu. The homemade bread is the best ever in Hampton Roads, bake to the perfection. I recommend the cheese plate as a starter; excellent aged Saint-Andre; so it is not as creamy as when young. I had the $42...More

My husband and I visited this very eclectic restaurant in Port Norfolk again last night. From the moment you step into the hallway/bar, you realize what a gem this restaurant is. The bar is surrounded by mounted heads of various animals, which is not my...More

What's on the stove? Good food, that's what. I saw reviews in a magazine and decided to go there to try the food. I'm all about taste of course, but next on my list is portion size. Third is drinks. I got everything I wanted...More

It is delicious, moist, flavorful, tender....I guess the cut is pretty much bacon, but they cure much of that stuff in house, so it is special!
