Dear Debra B Thank you for your review of Cottle Hill Winery. I do need to point out that Cottle Hill does not have a restaurant and does not serve food. We are a winery and conduct wine tastings and sales. We have a wide range of wines, ports ( the white port being very popular) as well as a... More

The owners were very informative and helped us immediately even though they were busy. We found out a lot of new things about wine and port etc, and had a few tastings, ended up buying a few bottles to take home for us and gifts too yaay! Was a very nice atmosphere indeed. Thanks for having us, if we are... More

This was a very nice place to visit. Total Tours included this boutique winery on our visit: Mike, the owner, is enigmatic and informative. You will thoroughly enjoy a stop here. And the white port is terrific. Big recommend.

Great little winery to stop by and try a few samples. The owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed our visit here and would recommend stopping by for a quick visit.

This was our last stop on local winery tour. American lady serving us was great. Humorous and pleasant. Bought 2 bottles of port.

I don't usually write reviews on bad experiences, but for this place I'll make an exception: Had the feeling that our arrival was a great inconvenience when the lady stood sullenly quiet behind the counter. Conversational engagement was similar to trying to get a teenage boy tell you about his school day and about as appealing as a dentist appointment... More

Having been overwhelmed at the expensive and pretentious nature of most vineyards and wineries in guidebooks and leaflets we were thrilled to have stumbled upon Cottle Hill on a rainy drive North. We simply wanted a sampling experience with a brief tutorial and for $5 we were treated with friendly advice and invaluable guidance about the wine and ports on... More

If you are in the area, and want to sample the best small vineyard wines, then you must visit Cottle Hill Winery Kerikeri. The vineyard owners really do know how to grow grapes, turn them into fabulous wines, and are there at the tastings to offer guided samples of their different wines, or to maybe suggest an ideal wine from...
