If you ever get close to the Stone House in Kerikeri, a must do is compulsory stop at the Pear Tree Restaurant . The view is great, the ambiance is fantastic and the food is just superb.

A very relaxing space for lunch or coffee and cake. You have a view of the oldest "European" buildings in NZ. A fantastic garden and lawned area to watch the locals feed the chickens/ducks and geese. I had the caramel slice and the others had scones with jam and cream.

A full morning's sightseeing can build a healthy appetite in a person and the Pear Tree turned out to be a most fortuitous selection. Situated adjacent to New Zealand's oldest building and other historical buildings, this riverside eatery provides good meals at reasonable pricing. A comprehensive wine and beer menu is also available. We selected the grilled fish and chips... More

This was a pleasant dinner. Surroundings are nice and food was above average. Wouldn't rush back but wouldn't say no to another meal there when in town.

Thank you The Pear Tree , we had a fantastic brunch , served by friendly and welcoming people. The kid played in the winter sun on the lawn amount the picturesque surrounds . Will be back in Summer for sure.

Had lunch here on a Saturday. French toast with maple syrup etc, and Beef burger. Long black coffee and mochaccino. Food was pretty good. Beef burger was on the plain side, could do with something unique to make it memorable. Sparrows hopping in and out the cafe; had to prevent but it did detract from the experience. We sat in... We took our elderly parents to The Pear Tree for lunch. While the customer service was impeccable and sitting out on the verandah in the sun was perfect, the menu was very disappointing. We had visited over a year ago and had a wonderful lunch but felt very let down this time. In saying that, the fish my husband had... More

Had brunch there. I had big breakfast and partner had eggs royale. Both meals were very nice. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. From the cabinet we also got scone with cream and jam and a savoury muffin to take away with us for afternoon tea. Will definitely go back if in the area
