We visited for dinner and both had amazing pizzas! Highly recommend. I also had a local wine which was great.

We went with our two boys for dinner. The staff were kind and attentive. There were board games to keep the kids occupied. Food was tasty especially the sticky date pudding.

Great place to meet friends and enjoy a catchup and a coffee. Scones and bacon and egg sandwiches are to die for

After travelling around NZ extensively, we stumbled upon this little quirky restaurant and had quite possibly one of the best meals ever. This chef knows how to cook. Simple food with amazing flavour. We had the lasagne and the parmigiana. Try this place, you won't be disappointed. Staff are great too.

Came here for dinner on the advise of my Airbnb host. I had the pizza with ham (also comes with pineapple, but requested not to have it). I went for the medium size, which is perfect for a hungry adult. The base was lovely, not too thin or too thick. The toppings were delicious too, with the ham nice and... More

Cuckoo is a lovely little cafe serving mostly pizzas with a few pasta and special dishes, plus great desserts! Their pizzas are thin crusted and they offer an interesting range of toppings, all with kiwi-inspired bird names. Our kids loved the Sparrow (ham, cheese, tomato base) while we went for a large half-and-half. They have a small but well chosen... More

We ordered a large "Tui" takeaway pizza. Preparation time was about 20 minutes which was fine. The base was a little thicker than I expected and had a bit of a dry/doughy texture. The edges of the pizza were burnt in a number of areas and the topping was fairly average. There was little sauce and the ingredients were nothing... More

We visited Cuckoo tonight and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is rustic to say the least but in a nice way. We ordered the lamb Tagine with olives, couscous and duck fat roasted potato and a 'Weka' pizza. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. Both went down well with a nice glass of wine. Being naughty, we decided to... More

Cuckoo's stone baked pizzas are great for young and old. Our kids loved a pepperoni pizza and there's enough variety for all tastes. We ordered at a busy time in Friday night and were told it'd be a 40 minute wait, the perfect amount of time for a pint across the road at the White Swan!

The staff were really friendly, but not pushy. The service was good. There was a cosy fire burning inside, but we chose to eat in the courtyard. There is an extensive pizza menu, but there are other choices available too. We had a lovely night and would definitely return if we are in Greytown again.
