We enjoy our visits so much that we keep going back ...

We always enjoy ourselves when we visit Martinborough and make for the Martinborough Hotel for coffee, lunch or dinner in their deightful bistrot. We have watched rugby at unearthly hours, enjoyed a delicious brunch or two there too. The staff never fail to please, the food is good and the... read more

This hotel is also a bar, and the locals carried on outside after the bar closed, drinking and swearing outside our room and making sleep impossible till 1am. The hotel itself has fallen in standard from 5 star a decade ago to 3 star now. Avoid at this price.

The barkeep who served us was very friendly. We had a light lunch consisting of a cheese platter and side salad. Can't complain about the food at all, but it wasn't spectacular either.

We have made the mistake of dinning at the Martinborough Hotel on several occasions this year. The food is very average, but the staff are appalling and have no idea of what good service is. This could be such a fantastic restaurant if the staff knew what customer service was. Needless to say we wont be going back.

Superb accommodation, beautiful setting, amazing staff. Cannot wait to return here. This hotel is a gem. From the very start of our experience, booking online until we departed on Christmas morning, we couldn't fault the Martinborough Hotel. Thanks.

the staff were very friendly, the room was nice, the hotel itself has a great energy and takes you back in time. Martin borough is a cute little town and this hotel is the place to stay. We stayed for one night and will go back if we go back to the Wairarapa.

Dropped in for lunch to break up a day of visiting cellar doors in the area. Needed a feed to tie us over and we ordered spicy chicken wings, they were fantastic and came with a blue cheese dipping sauce, and enough spice. Also some pork ribs that were really juicy and you could just suck the meat off the... More

Best steak in the whole of the Wairarapa for $30. Highly recommend to anyone. Oh and don't forget $ 10 pizza night gourmet pizzas at that price Are a crowd favorite downside is the place is packed on that day.

Breakfast selection was good and serving sizes made a great start to the day. Degustation menu well presented and tasty. Service was efficient and staff friendly. We both had steak which cooked perfectly.

Food was beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfast the next morning was full of variety - you'd have to be a very fussy eater not to like anything on the buffet
