First time back here since the change of mgmt and staff. First thing we noticed was the friendly welcome and more inviting decor. Couple of craft beers on tap and pretty good local wine list. Food was very nice too and prices very reasonable. Changes made definitely for the better. Well done

Ate here on our first night in Martinborough and definitely wasn't disappointed. Took a little while to order (was a bit busy), but once we did food came quickly and was absolutely incredible.

this was my second time dining at the restaurant and i was once again very happy with the experience. Twenty locals dined in a beautiful private dining room on a Saturday evening - serving such a large group can be challenging - my food was excellent and i only heard good feedback from fellow diners. Service was friendly and efficient... More

We visited the restaurant as a group. The service was ok, everyone tried hard and meant well, but it lacked the fineness that you would have expected. The portion size of all the meals (entree and main) were more than generous but the general feeling among the group was that none really hit the mark in terms of quality. The... More

Thought we would try this new restaurant with the new owners and new chefs, staff were friendly and polite and Nicky went the extra mile, we didn't have to wait long for our entrées or mains to come out, and we certainly wasn't rushed, we were there for the evening, Wills the head chef came out and spoke to the... Breakfast selection was good and serving sizes made a great start to the day. Degustation menu well presented and tasty. Service was efficient and staff friendly. We both had steak which cooked perfectly.

We dined here as part of our weekend stay. We had their Table d'Hote progressive dinner which was 4 courses - all amazing! To start was a 2 bread plate with 3 dipping sauces to share. Next was a spanakopita which was spinach & feta cheese pastry dish - light yet flavourful. Then a sorbet in between. For mains I... More

This is a lovely venue with a great aspect over the central Martinborough square however I felt the service & process was not reflective of either the venue, or the pricing. There is no table service mid week as the restaurant is closed so you need to dine in the bar area. No problem with that really other than the... More

Lunch 17 December 2010, meals (salads) where fine but the staff were cold and could smile…..you felt like you where there to serve them (there were 5 other people in the place, they weren't busy), finished our salads along with a drink each and left. Breakfast 18 December 2010, not much choice in Martinborough before 8am…..thought we would give the... More

Sadly since the fabulous chef left to go to Clooney's in Auckland, in 2008, this place has become rather ho-hum. Food is OK but very much bar food and there is no 'fine dining' experience to be had here anymore. Don't go on a rugby match day if you want to eat in peace! If you want a snack this... More
