My wife and I where looking forward to a special anniversary dinner at Eleonore's restaurant on a Thursday night the 22nd of December . As usual the surrounding and inside the restaurant looked very nice. The service tried also there best. After selecting our wine we have chosen a 2 course menu starting with Aylesbury Duck Pie where our waitress... More

Set in opulent surroundings the food and service are top class and well worth the visit. The old world charm, ambience and service seem to enhance the experience

Surprised no chicken on the menu and as the beef option or the vegetarian option didn't appeal it was lamb for me - very nice. Also enjoyed cheese platter and creme brûlée -although it wasn't warm AND the top wasn't crunchy :-(

This restaurant can be a lot more as the ambience is very pleasant. Sadly the food is not so special and service is just okay. The food is not bad at all and there's nothing to complain about the service. It's just a pity that they haven't maximise do the full potential of their restaurant.

Can't recommend the food at this restaurant highly enough. I had the 3 course menu and it was delicious, some of the best food I've ever eaten.

Dined here as part of our accommodation package - greeted with by friendly waiter who took us to our table. Ambiance is very nice. Service is very good. Wine is very good. Food is ok. Dined as it were part of our package, would probably not dine here voluntarily. Taste and presentation slightly expensive for the overall experience.

My husband and I were staying at Chateau Yering - which was fabulous - and ate at Eleonore's on Friday night. The restaurant itself is lovely but the food we had that night was bland and unappealing - perhaps the chefs night off? My husband and I had different selections for each course and were resoundingly disappointed. Also, we had... More

The dining room is lovely and well laid out. We saw the old (winter) menu on the internet and were impressed. Sat down and saw a new menu. It was limited and not a great deal of selections, my wife and I were disappointed. Service was good. Meals were well cooked and tasty, but small. Overall we thought it was... More

Stayed at the hotel and met winemaker friends here for dinner. The dining room is old style and service to match from a Frenchman. Menu was not a particularly inventive but food was well cooked. I had the duck pie for entree and beef for main. The wine list contained some old wines at bargain prices. We really enjoyed our... More
