The dining room is lovely and well laid out. We saw the old (winter) menu on the internet and were impressed. Sat down and saw a new menu. It was limited and not a great deal of selections, my wife and I were disappointed. Service was good. Meals were well cooked and tasty, but small. Overall we thought it was... More

Stayed at the hotel and met winemaker friends here for dinner. The dining room is old style and service to match from a Frenchman. Menu was not a particularly inventive but food was well cooked. I had the duck pie for entree and beef for main. The wine list contained some old wines at bargain prices. We really enjoyed our... More

Excellent food & dining. The chef excels himself with a four course tasting menu with a glass of bubbly. Seared scallops, duck pie, waygu beef & followed by chocolate panna cotta. The best experience we have had locally or overseas. The staff & ambience of this lovely restaurant are unforgettable *****

Eleanors has that sense of fine dining in old style luxury. The menu is quite extensive, and changes quite often, based on our last few visits. The wine list is excellent, and the suggestions of matching wines by the glass for each course is a great idea. Service was pleasant, with a mix of enthusiastic learners, as well as an... More

Meals and service were glorious. Food choices great. The decor is olde world .Understated opulence all around.Every room has the same tasteful decor. Lovely and helpful staff.

From the time you enter the dining room you will be treated to a wonderful dining experience. The service is first class and the decor is superb . Then the food is the icing on the cake , the wine list is excellent as you would expect .

Half way through our 4 course menu i realized this place is special and it is a privilege to be here. Without menu completion i already anticipate return for the alacarte menu sooner rather than later.

From the décor to the food and the amazing selection of cognac, armagnac, as well as the excellent and knowledgeable service the dinner was without fault. We were there in October 2014, but I can't put that date in the drop down.
