A great experience from start to finish. We booked a package deal from Elite helicopters and arrived from Brisbane to a glass of wine and table awaiting us for lunch. Our waitress Chloe was exceptionally warm and inviting, whilst also being down to earth and...genuine. A combination that is often sadly missed in most fine dining establishments. The three courses we chose all delivered on taste and presentation with the stand out being the smoked cod with Kale. It was also pleasant to have multiple vegetarian choices on the menu. We topped it off with a glass of wine and quick walk ( outside temps were hitting 40 degrees ) around the property, noting the vegetable gardens growing with the ingredients from our previously enjoyed lunch. Thankyou for having us, it was a pleasure.More

Great food and service. We enjoyed three course meals on both nights. Breakfast every day was a treat. All of the food was amazing, delicious and so fresh. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

Really enjoyed my birthday lunch at Homage, Spicers Hidden Vale. Make sure you book at least 2 weeks ahead. Menu is pricey - but it was a special birthday!! Two courses $75, 3 courses $85 We had a table outside with a pretty view. The...warm bread served was very enjoyable, then we both had the rib fillet - very tender, and so delicious. Toffee and date pudding and Homage lemon tart - like a upside down tart - the lemon curd on the plate with the pastry on top! You must come out to Homage at Spicers Hidden Vale - it really is a special place. Spend some time before or after lunch in the lounge by the fire. If you come on the 1st Sunday of the month, the Grandchester Railway may also be open - but check first!More

We visited Spicers last night. The new building is outstanding, very modern but still retains that old Australian charm. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. We were really made to feel welcome by all the .staff. Better than any restaurant...in Brisbane city. We look forward to our next visit.More

What a disappointment! We love to go for drives in the country and when this was Peppers we often enjoyed lunch or brunch here. In fact I only told someone a couple of days ago that I had had the best Caesar Salad (with salmon)...ever there. Today we decided to go again as we hadn’t been there since the fire. The new restaurant is not yet finished but the current setting is lovely under some large fig trees in a rustic outdoor setting, or inside the barn, also nicely set up. The music was delightful soft jazz and ballads. However the lunch menu was very limited and very expensive. There was only one thing that looked vaguely interesting to me so I ordered the cos salad with bacon and almonds. ($28) It was covered in a rather tasteless white salad dressing and after a while I discovered a very cold half boiled egg on a tiny mash of what I suspect was avocado but didn’t taste like anything much, hidden under the lettuce. The almonds were rather soft and uninteresting although plentiful enough. My partner ordered a burger which came with rather tasty chips, but the meat in the burger was very rare and not to his liking at all. All he ate was the top half of the bun, a piece of tomato and the chips. Unfortunately we will not be coming back here unless we hear the food has improved dramatically. In this day there are too many places offering delicious food to accept anything less especially when you are charged top dollar. Such a pity as it is a lovely setting, although the flies were numerous and rather annoying, although I cannot blame the restaurant for that. Staff were very pleasant. .More

The cuisine and execution of the food at Homage is second to none. If you have a chance to dine here, I strongly recommend you do.

This place is as pretty as a picture with beautiful scenery of hills in the background, large beautiful trees in a courtyard and the main restaurant in a barn looking structure all open and rustic yet chic. Excellent service and extensive drink menu with amazing...Australian wine selection and great cocktails also using Australian spirits. Menu allows for a cheap option for lunch or the al carte menu offers two or three course options. Decadent and sophisticated menu with the wood fired being utilised. We had the beef brisket for two with sides included. Very simple and delicious with veggies cooked to perfection in the wood fire. Good place for a decadent long lunch or romantic dinner. I am surprised at the bad reviews I’ve seen and suggest that those people go to red rooster where the service is fast and the food is cheap.More

I can't fault the service. All the staff were lovely. The location was beautiful, especially as the sun set. It was a bit difficult to locate the restaurant on the property and I was unsure where I was supposed to park. I went with a...party of three friends. We were all very excited and were expecting a farm to table experience. You know, where the ingredients speak for themselves. In the end the meals were really disappointing. It was so convoluted that I didn't really know what I was eating. The menu was very vague. For first course, I ordered the emu and pumpkin thinking I would get a nice serving of emu and pumpkin. I got undercooked pumpkin and an emu and capsicum mush. I couldn't tell what was emu and I really hate the taste of capsicum. My friend ordered the lamb and it came out covered in coriander and she doesn't like coriander. I think polarising ingredients should be included on the menu. Overall, all the dishes where expensive, not very tasty, and it was hard to tell what we were eating. Also, we were under the impression we could select individual meals but were only offered the 2 ($75) and 3 ($85) course or the tasting menu ($115). We didn't finish most of what we ordered and felt quite ill because of the heaviness of the meals. There wasn't much freshness to cut through all the rich food. Initially, we had intended on the 3 course menu but ended up just doing the 2. In truth, it ended up being underwhelming and expensive.More

Took my partner for her birthday and we had a simply UNBELIEVABLE experience. From the stunning views, the brilliantly wonderful staff to the absolute WORLD CLASS FOOD, IT WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT. HOMAGE restaurant was out of this world. Will never forget this place, EVER.
