Read your reviews and decided to meet two couples at the Silk Mill for dinner. We were not disappointed. The meal was point perfect from beginning to end. The rolls tasted like homemade yeast rolls and the basket was kept supplied with plenty of these hot delicacies. The chicken florentine soup was the best we have ever had. Steaks were... More

First off you need to understand this is not a chain restaurant, people tend to lull themselves when going to the expected. For dinner they have nightly specials that vary the best is the prime rib on Friday nights but seasonal specials such as the fired oysters can't be beat. They do sometimes get over whelmed and that is such... More

We stopped by for lunch not knowing anything about the restaurant. We had such a good lunch! Our sandwiches were excellent. And the service was very good. It's an interesting building with an unusual history.

One of the better places we have found when traveling. Very interesting old silk mill with weaving and spinning plus farm implements decorating thte place. A really fun time with great food. Don't miss it!

Hubby ordered the Creole Rockfish (seared) and I ordered the Alaskan Rockfish (broiled). While waiting, we had the spinach artichoke dip which was wonderful; highly recommend. Thanks to all who reviewed this restaurant on Trip Advisor!... y'all were right. This is a great find!

Good food in a great atmosphere! Went for dinner when we arrived in Orange. Loved the ambience. Really nice setting. The food is good. I had a crab cake/ shrimp dinner which was very good. My husband had a burger which he enjoyed. The wings for our appetizer were great. Nice local wine selection as well.

Good food at reasonable prices; in a historic, cool setting. Dining rooms are large and spacious. Nice bar with table and booth seating (note that the bar area can be loud due to the acoustics of the high ceiling and solid walls). Service was prompt and courteous (Nicole really took good care of us); and the food came out of... More

We happened to be in Orange and decided to go for an early dinner - the restaurant was almost empty- in need of an update - very large and dusty - the staff was ok - friendly enough - but for being the only customers they didn't bring out the bread my husband requested until the meal was almost over... Really well decorated, historic building. Perfect place to go for a casual meal with friends or family. The food was okay and reasonably priced. Save room for dessert ~ I had the blackberry cobbler and it was very tasty.

Took my father for his 8th birthday . My husband's steak was good. My mother and order chicken dish with rice and pineapple. The chicken tasted like it was dried up chicken strips. Awful flavor. I left on plate and mother did the same. No one asked how the food was aND didn't complain. Paid, tipped, and will not return.

Thank Allison L
