Beautifully set on the Ka'anapali Beach, by way of the Whalers Village shopping center. You can sit in the "beachside" dining, kick off your slippahs and put your toes in the sand while sipping ice cold cocktails waiting for a stellar West Maui sunset. Great for lunch or dinner, or to grab cocktails while the wife is shopping. Food is... More

We had a front row table to really enjoy the ocean view. I had a great gibson shaken so it was really cold like I like it. My wife had a crown royal with water that was just the right strength. We shared a kale salad with local surfing goat cheese that was very tasty. and then we had possibly... More

Amazing location. Sit at the Barefoot bar. Live music, ocean breeze, sweet smell of flowers and best fish and chips on the island. Wait time is long, so allow plenty of time. But, worth the wait.

The food was okay. Service was inconsistent. There was an ant on my daughters plate. We ate in the dining room because the menu variety interested my kids (ages 9, 11, and 13) and my husband and me. It was just okay. The waiter seemed to be bothered my basic service (no special requests) and my youngest daughter had an... More

We stopped here for a light meal and drinks before our sunset sail. The casual area has sand around the tables and is steps from the beach. Live music sitting in the shade of the palapas is a great way to spend late afternoon time

We love the Hula Grill where you take off your shoes and enjoy the sand floor. Sunsets are spectacular from this outside venue. We go return every time we visit Maui..

Enjoyed an excellent meal here on a Monday evening. The restaurant was full and I would recommend getting a reservation. We all had various seafood entries, all of which were excellent. We all had wonderful desserts and we would definitely recommend Hula Grill to everyone.

We made a reservation in advance for our first meal on Maui and were not disappointed. Our reservation was for 730 pm. We arrived early and they were able to seat us before our chosen time. My wife chose the Macadamia crusted mahi and I had the chef special. Perfect meal for our first night on Maui. We will certainly... More

Description
On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment.
Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.
