Truthfully, I have not had other Italian food here, but friends have and they all like it. It is a popular spot in the island, and usually very busy. Smaller sized, as most restaurants on the island are. Their pizza is delicious!

This Italian restaurant in downtown Balboa was okay but not special. We had pasta dishes that were average in taste and presentation. The service was good but the ambience was average.

Didn't plan to eat here but glad we did. The staff were very hospitable and the food was really nice. Loved the music. Would recommend.

Excellent Pasta and Sweet Salmon too. The waiters are nice and the food is filling. It's served in big helpings so go there pretty hungry!

The restaurant is ready to serve their lunch menu by 11am, when other restaurants on the same strip are not open yet. Food was good, we had the antipasto for two. Very reasonably priced. Impeccable service, nice table by the window. Definitely recommendable.

Good service, good food, prices a bit high compared with other restaurant we visited on our trip. It was not a great dining experience, but definitly a good one.

Not bad, but not great either. One of the only places open on Monday night on Balboa Island. Good selection of food, quantities are large so bring an appetite. Good friendly service. Worth a stop.

This doesn't have the boats in the water feeling of Balboa Island, but it is good Italian food. Would recommend the ham calzone... very tasty... big enough to share. Service is good. We'd go back.

We went to Ciao on a Thursday evening in January around 7pm. We didn't have to wait for a table but the cozy restaurant was nearly full. We had a pizza, salad, our pre-teen had basic pasta. The food was good but not great. If it wasn't so convenient when staying on the island, I wouldn't make a trip to... More

We usually go to Ciao for the pizza's and salads and they do not disappoint. If you plan to visit during summer or weekends, allow some time or go by and put your name in first then stroll the shops while you wait. There is almost always a wait as the restaurant is small like most things on BI. Certainly... More
