We have been eating here from many years off and on. We receive coupons in the mail and it reminds us that it is time to visit again. They have taco and burrito plates that include rice and beans that are a good deal. We...like to sit outside on nice days.More
If you are in the area looking for a quick Mexican bite, or using this as a carry out joint, it's fine I guess. I've eaten here a couple of times, both at lunch time, with a friend who loves this place, but the reasoning...escapes me. The service was prompt, and the place seems clean, but the food was not memorable enough to make me want to come back. To it's credit, it's reasonably priced, offers lunch specials, and it's about the only Mexican restaurant on this side of town. Unfortunately it makes no attempt to conceal the fact that it's a strip mall restaurant, and offers even less ambiance than most fast food restaurants.More
With all the hundreds of Mexican food places in Southern California I think this place is my new favorite. It's not a chain, but the real deal!! Great crispy shredded beef tacos and all the other standard Mexican fare. It's a local, no nonsense eatery...wth plenty of tables and a salsa bar. You order at the counter, help yourself to the beverage bar and salsa. Lots of beer choices as well. And very reasonable. Beats the full service restaurants in the area as well!!More
We dine at Cabo Cabana occasionally and always ask ourselves "why"? The food is very average and the prices are high for what you get. It's basically Mexican fast food and what you can get at Del Taco or Taco Bell is just as good...and cheaper to boot.
I ordered the beef taquitos ($5.25), which consisted of three rather large taquitos with very bland guacamole and sour cream. Hubby ordered the mini tostada
($5.65) with black beans and shredded beef. He said it was "okay". All entrees come on Styrofoam plates and the silverware is plastic.More
