Each spring for the past 10 years when visiting Culebra I set aside at least one "sometime more" nights to eat at Barbara Rosa's. Barbara is an amazing cook and serves a wide variety of Caribbean Cuisine. One of my favorites is traditional Puerto Rican "rice, beans and tostones" (forgive me if I've spelled this wrong).

We ate dinner twice here during our visit. A nice older lady runs the restaurant all by herself. Her husband is not in good health, so the days/hours that the restaurant is open varies. The restaurant is open if the strings of lights in the front are on. Everything is made fresh while you wait. You place your order from... More

This was our second visit to Culebra and second visit to Barbara Rosa's restaurant. And for a second time our meal here was absolutely wonderful. The dining experience as a whole in Culebra is much different than anything you would experience in the states, but that only contributes to the experience. At Barbara Rosa's you are dining on her front... More

We loved it, go on the earlier side because she closes once she'd run out of food. We also loved that it is BYOB.

This is a must go spot in Culebra. The food is amazing. Barbara is such a nice lady. Let's make it clear, this is not a 5 star restaurant; is like having a family dinner at home. If you see it open, go in, you won't regret it.

Amazing! The perfect place if you want a LITERAL home cooked meal. Now, this is no fancy, shine n' dine restaurant - you are sitting on the porch of a woman's house while she (all by herself) cooks in her home kitchen. Besides the fact, it was splendid! Very reasonably priced, and an unusual yet perfect way to spend dinner!... More

Let's be clear: this is no 5-star restaurant. You are literally eating at a picnic table on someone's front porch, and the meal is self-bussed. The menu is short, you bring your own drinks (unless you want a bottle of water), and there could be a long wait. But we found it a great experience to sit among the breezes... More

The food is perfect. I especially liked the crab cakes. They contained lots of crab and were crunchy but not over cooked. The Key Lime pie was excellent. Barbara Rosa obviously takes a lot of pride in her cooking and it shows. Currently open Sun and I think ever other day after that starting at 5:00 but it's worth stopping... More
