Sugar and Spice is always the first and last place I stop off/on the boat! Can't beat it! And the ice cold beer is phenomenal up the hill to Ivan's!

Joan Chinnery made absolutely delicious patties for us many times during our stay. She even allowed us in her kitchen and showed us how to make patties! We highly recommend a visit to the Sugar and Spice Snack Bar!

Joan makes the most amazing patties! Any time we travel to Jost, we stop by Sugar and Spice as soon as we get off the boat and pick up patties. They are incredible! She serves them in beef, chicken, veggie, and fish and honestly, it is hard to pick a favorite. Don't miss Sugar and Spice when you go to... More

The proverbial hole in the wall 'carry out', the owner of Sugar and Spice told me her Patties were better than anywhere else in the BVI if not the entire Caribbean. Well, I make a mean Jamaican Pattie myself, so I was definitely up to trying them. We placed a large order for a mixture of patties and roti's to... More

We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Joan, elsewhere on the island. She encouraged us to come by and try her breakfast. We did and it was delicious. We had the pleasure of chatting with Joan while enjoying our breakfast at a picnic table overlooking Great Harbor. We heard great things about her Roti, so we had her prepare... More

We met Joan, the owner, when we attended church on Mother's Day. She told us about her Roti and Patties. We have had Roti all around the BVI's but nothing compared to Joan's Roti......THE BEST !! You can find her located at the ferry dock in Great Harbour. If you tell her you read this posting by the tourists that... More

Right by the ferry dock. Grab a delicious chicken roti while you wait! Outside seating with complete view of Great Harbor. Very peaceful almost surreal feel!

Great patties and Joan, the owner is a hoot and a good friend of mine. I live on Jost and often get salt fish or whelk patties on Saturday mornings. I've also had breakfast sandwiches as well as stop for a drink and some chat. My other half loves to go for dinner and the "news". Love this place.

We had a few lunches here and were treated to the best Roti's and Patties we had on the trip! And superbly friendly service. This is a must stop any time you find yourself in Great Harbor.

Love Joan for her quaint little shop right off the ferry dock! Always a simple but delicious breakfast sandwich or homemade roti on our way! Cold drinks. If your lucky...don't miss Bingo on Sunday nights! Always a hoot!
