Quirky little restaurant with an honour bar you pay at the end of dinner. We ate here as a flotilla group - the only evening the whole flotilla booked to eat together & I think they struggled a bit to accommodate us all at once....Our waitress seemed a bit stressed & grumpy, bordering on rude, very different to the service we had received at all the other restaurants we had eaten at. Food was good however & generous potions & the lobster salad I had was delicious.More

Fun little restaurant on the bay with an honor bar. You write down your food order and tally your drinks. Burgers, sandwiches, fritters and seafood. Lots of t shirts. Very friendly staff. Laidback fun with friends.

I ate the best tasting, simply prepared meal of my 57 years on earth here. I don't know whether it was the salt air or that I was simply famished, but the rice and beans, fresh fish and potato salad -- served on a plastic...plate, no less -- was the most memorable meal I have had EVER. After a week of eating lobster as we sailed the BVIs, I ordered the fish here just for a change of pace. I didn't expect much. I can't begin to tell you how good the fish was. I am not a big fan of fish, but this fish, so simply prepared, melted in my mouth. Oddly, the potato salad -- something that I wouldn't necessarily think to eat with with baked fish, was a perfect pairing and I ended up eating three or four servings of it. But the most unique thing was how good the rice and beans were. I don't know what the secret ingredient was (cinnamon? honey?), but they were the tastiest rice and beans I have ever had. We were a table of 7 (4 adults, 3 children) and everybody walked away raving about their meal (including the 3 year old who had chicken fingers and fries).More

We checked our Sidney’s via dinghy. Strawberry was waiting to help us tie off. She’s just lovely! This is a serve yourself bar, write down your drinks and pay. Laid back atmosphere, friendly people.

We have eaten at many restaurants around the BVIs, both fancy and casual, and tonight’s meal at Sidney’s was one of the best. Located in Little Harbor, Sidney’s offers some of the freshest and well prepared food we have enjoyed in the BVIs. Strawberry greats...you like a welcomed friend as you arrive and gets you setup on the in and outs of the DIY bar and honor system tab. My wife and I both had the snapper and it was perfect accompanied with Island Cole Slaw, potato salad, beans/rice and house salad. The Lobster others at nearby tables ordered looked pretty tasty too. A must stop on Jost Van Dijk......and don’t miss shopping for some of the BVI T-Shirts Strawberry has for sale!More

Sydney’s is the best place to hang out after a long day on White Bay!!! The lobster is perfect, the help-yourself bar is a total win! Can’t recommend this place enough. Must do when in the BVI

We visited Sidney’s twice last week. Many of you know that they suffered tremendous damage as a result of hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, but let me tell you, what they have gotten through to still be standing today is nothing short of a...miracle. Please go and support this fine establishment and the fine family that runs it, the spirit of the BVI is about the people, not the buildings. Sidney’s is still the wonderful place it has always been, and they are still serving some delicious food and the legendary honor bar is still the same, it’s just temporarily relocated. We had lobster rolls that were top notch and their burgers are tasty as well, so I recommend stopping by this Little Harbour treasure and supporting the great history of Jost Van Dyke’s off the beaten path restaurants and bars!More

There are tons of places to eat in the BVI. They'll all offer something to eat and drink you'll remember forever. After all, you're in a beautiful place having a great time. But, if you're looking for something extra, something beyond the ordinary. Get to...Sidney's Peace and Love in Little Harbor on Jost Van Dyke. Yes, the food is great. (They will make vegetarian and vegan plates if requested in advance.) Yes, they have a self serve bar. But they are also owned and operated by a warm, loving family that will - if you let them - make you feel right at home. Don't wish you would've come here. Just do it.More

Selecting your lobster from the tank, having drinks on the dock while it's on the grill...then enjoying the delicious meal in the company of friends and the friendly staff...all at the legendary Sidney's Peace and Love Bar! No better experience in the Caribbean! Not to...be missed!More

Stop by Sydney's for a classic island stop. Avoid the cruise ship sponsored stops and go to a true island gem. Sydney is a sweet lady the feeds you with love, and the lobster is pretty good too. You make you own drinks and just...track them on a sheet to be added to your bill at the end. Get a taste of a classic sailing stop!More
