Good food at a reasonable price, with great drinks. The bar is very busy with boaters during the day, and can be packed. That is the only down side. But you should definitely visit if at all possible - and bring your soggy dollars to the bar.

Another fantastic trip! This has been our "go to" spot since 2005. Love the staff and there is no better place to escape to and return to simple pleasures. Nothing fancy about the rooms but very comfortable and clean. Who needs a fancy room when you have White Bay as your living room😎

Most people know Jost Van Dyke either because of Foxy's or Soggy Dollar Bar, and visit during the day, have a few drinks, then head back to their boats or other islands. But few know that at night, Soggy Dollar morphs into it's other "self" Sandcastle "Hotel" and restaurant. More a B&B than a hotel, since it only has 6... More

We've been staying at the Sand Castle for 3 years now, excellent place to kick back and enjoy the ocean and drinks. The staff is excellent and the food is outstanding for EVERY meal. There's no night life here and the resort is quiet, so you don't go there to party... but they will make you a painkiller at 9am... More

This is a great escape. Really not much to do other than chill out on the beach --- AND PEOPLE WATCH. During the day, it's like "spring break for adults". When all the day tripper boats cone in to have some some fun. After 4:00 it's a peaceful paradise.

My daughter says it's all the painkillers that make the food here taste so good. But on my 3rd trip here I brought my husband (non drinker) who also agrees that Sandcastle, for all it's laid back vibe, makes the BEST Mahi Mahi sandwich in the Caribbean. The famous Painkiller also originated here, so have one or two or three.....

We spent two nights anchored in White Bay, on Jost Van Dyke, just off the beach. Our second night we made reservations at Sandcastle (must be made by 5pm). The restaurant is right next to the Soggy a Dollar Bar and doesn't look like much during the day. For the evening meal, they really dress it up with lighting, table... More

This is our second stay here. The beach is fabulous and the location can't be beat. Everyone is very friendly and the beach front cottages are wonderful.

At night the Soggy Dollar bar is transformed to a fine dining restaurant - it's romantic and the food is excellent! We ate there once during our visit, but we both agree we will go back more often when we make our next trip to Jost. The food is excellent - I had the fish special and my husband had... More
