Yes, we had a reservation, don't think you'd get in without one. I had the seafood crepes and they were wonderful. Nice views too. Expensive.

A great dinner during our trip to Gros Morne. We ate near the window on a beautiful day and what view! Food was great, especially the seafood crepe. I’ve attached photos. No concerns around any of the dishes I had and would certainly recommend this...More

Seafood chowder like no other! Mysterious herbs and tantalizing. Flavours of a rich base, thick with seafood. Most delicious that I have ever eaten. We had the Seafood Crepes known as another title and again superb! Wish this place was closer to home !

Shared a fabulous dinner with close friends. Menu was extensive, fish/seafood selections abundant, attentive and very friendly service, reasonably priced wines. Great start to our 3 week trip across Newfoundland.

The place sits at the end of a shore hugging road in a quaint little community. As you see it from the outside, it appears to be a community hall. When you enter, it gives the feel of a seniors complex or the local middle...More

Food was cold, little selection and trying to be fine dining when it is a miss. Stick to other rest Taurants who know how to cook and serve NL cuisine. Caesar salad without fresh Parmesan or croutons and main course was cold. Dessert had two...More

We did enjoy our meal here. The atmosphere and the service was very good, but the food didn't quite live up to the billing.

In a bit of a quandary over this one. We booked this on the recommendation of our travel agent and arriving in Norris Point late we didn't want to spend ages searching for a restaurant. This was nearby and part of a hotel. It styles...More

We didn’t make reservations and simply showed up and did manage to get a set. I don’t know how busy it is normally. The restaurant is part of an inn and we didn’t realize that until arrival. It’s also on the second floor. I was...More

We wanted to have a nice meal on our last night in Gros Morne, and boy, did this place deliver! It's on the pricier end of the scale, but if you are looking for fantastic food and great service (without being pretentious), this is the...More

Questions & Answers
Dear atcanad, I'm sorry to have been rude and personal in my review. I should have written more carefully. Here's what led to my post: Your restaurant is at a harbor, but you had only one fish dish on the menu and you were out of it. The description of your pork dish included the producer, indicating it was a heritage breed, raised for its juiciness and succulence. Our waiter told us customers found it dry, which is tough to do with heritage pork and the first time a server has ever told me a dish was bad. The amuse bouche - salmonish cream cheese on puff pasty - was obviously prepared well in advance since the pastry was soggy and stuck to the plate. The chowder did not even have a whiff of seafood flavor. The steak was overcooked, vegetables overdone and the bread pudding it was served on was a soggy lump. The gnocchi were tough enough to have come from a plastic freezer bag, its saucy was acrid and the salad of local greens seems to have been thrown on the plate and topped with what must have been bottled French dressing. These are not matters of taste, but problems with preparation, care with ingredients and thoughtfulness. That's why I said the kitchen needed more knowledge and care about food.

Thank you for your response, less vague with comments I can remark on. We are located on a lovely Harbour and we actually offer four seafood options which is approximately 30% of our menu. We do not advertise ourselves as a... More
