This is the second year that we have traveled to Onancock by boat and docked at the town wharf. Last year we had lunch at Mallards with the other boaters that we were traveling with. It was pretty good. We ate outside and it was relaxing and unhurried. Several in our party went back another night and had dinner (we... More

This was our second visit to Mallards. This time, for lunch, my husband had a crabcake sandwich with fries and I had grilled tuna sandwich with cole slaw. The piece of tuna was HUGE! It was cooked to perfection- medium rare, just how I like it. My husband said the crabcake was loaded with crab meat and delicious. We can't... More

Our waitress was great, we had the crab cake salad and the crab cakes are delicious! We were there on a weekday for lunch so it wasn't very busy.

Located in a historical general store right on the onancock wharf. Johnny Mo (Morrison) is a regional legend of a chef! And a great musician too. His menu is unique and tasty. Try the specials. Great outdoor seating area right on the wharf. Great for watching a sunset at the wharf as it sets on the creek

This is a must go to! What a beautiful location! It is a beautiful old building and a lot of history here. The food was top notch also! The waitress was very good too, she was very knowledgeable about the area, and told us of other places to go to in the area. This was our first time here, but... More

Good Weather always helps, but a good location and great friends sealed the deal. The Bartender was friendly and attentive, the corona's and orange crushes hit the spot. Have eaten there several times before, food is always great. We will be back!

Enjoyed a very nice takeout lunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Traveling with our dog, so we found a nice shaded picnic table, walked over to Mallards and picked up our lunch. Great adaptive reuse/preservation and a very enjoyable spot. Lots of folks seem to enjoy visiting by boat, docking at the wharf. Look forward to future visits.

We were visiting historic Onancock and the wharf is a necessary stop. We had seen the Singing Chef on one of the local TV shows so were aware of Mallards. Even though it was mid afternoon we decided we had to stop and eat something just because the place is so inviting. We sat outside and had the Mussels and... More

We travelled for 45 minutes from Chincoteague to get to this place because someone in our party recommended it as better quality than what was available closer to Chicoteague. In my opinion, the place was not worth the travel time. We arrived for a quiet, late lunch, sat outside in a cozy deck or patio area. Beyond that I found... More

Lovely setting with boats coming in. Decent service. Decent drinks. Restaurant distributed calamari. Husband had Chesapeake sampler--excellent! I had scallops, drizzled in honey, cinnamon, chipotle. I liked them fine. We would come back and we will. Pricey meal--not much bang for the buck but location makes up for it.
