Try and book a table as it is extremely busy and popular. We had to wait for a table but went to look at lobsters in the adjacent building. My husband enjoyed the lobster and I had really good fishcakes with rhubarb relish. The restaurant is worth a visit. Very pleasant staff. Only cash. No credit cards.

Amazing lobster dinner in a lovely seaside setting. Lobster was fresh and very tasty. Came with side and choice of homemade dessert. Reasonable prices.

We stopped in around 3 pm on our way to Twillingate. Best decision of the day. I had the 1.5 lbs lobster dinner that came with fries, a beverage, and desert for $32.00. We sat on the open deck overlooking the bay - awesome! The lobster was fresh and delicious!

Off the beaten path, but easy to find. First we checked out the lobster pool. They had a 17-1/2 lb lobster there! It was so cool to see. We did speak to the guy there and it will be released. They have intention of keeping it. The restaurant is just what we were expecting. A fishing style restaurant - very... More

This is just what we were looking for. It isn't fancy. It's located right on the water, beside the dock. The dining room isn't decorated and in fact, the room looks like it was built quickly, maybe a bit temporary and like a cottage. The tables are covered in plastic and there are only about 10 tables. But what it... More

A real experience to dine here. Fantastic seafood. I had the seafood pasta and it was to die for. What a unique place, bare bones but top notch. The staff were fantastic, left feeling like you were a special guest even as they rushed around to keep everyone fed. Just remember to take cash as that is all they accept.

I'm glad u don't have to make reservations here but come before 5:30 to get a seat. The lobster was cracked and included salad, drink and a dessert for $28. They nickle and dime u as they charge $1:50 for garlic butter where other places add this as part of the meal. The salad is premade (not outstanding). The dessert... More

We were referred to this restaurant by the B&B we were staying at. We can understand why it's their favourite place. Sansome's is certainly a destination restaurant; it's out of the way and it's not easy to find but it's so worth it. It is a diner style place with vinyl tablecloths, no credit or debit card rule and a... More

We ate here twice (one lunch and one dinner) during a visit to the Twillingate area in July 2016. We loved the food, the friendly service and the dockside setting. We did not have the lobster, but enjoyed the seafood chowder (the best ever) the scallops and the fish and chips. The desserts were heavenly. Would definitely ensure that any... More
