Went here for breakfast today. My first shock was that it was just shy of £20 for two breakfasts and a pot of tea for two. When the pot of tea arrived it was half full and we just managed to get a cup out of it each. The breakfast arrived and looked ok but was tepid apart from the... More

Had roast lamb dinner off the specials board, large portions especially the lamb. My friend also loved her feta salad. And the selection of draught and bottled beers is second to none, its right next to the CO-OP Museum so why not visit there as well.

Another lovely meal out with my wife on a return visit to the best pub in rochdale. Rib eye steak and chunky chips, which was delicious and complimented with a lovely cold glass of lemonade. Great friendly service.

Visited last night as part of a group of 10. Everyone enjoyed their food. The portions were excellent, hot and nicely presented and they managed to serve all of us at the same time without any of the food looking dry. Staff were helpful and asked if we'd like them to close the conservatory door as the evening became cooler.... More

If you have plenty of time to wait for cold food swimming in gravy, then this is the place for you! After ordering two Sunday lunches, it took 45 minutes to be served stone cold food. As a previous commenter already noted, the plate was laden with gravy with a soggy Yorkshire pudding plonked on top. We was given a... More

Recommended by our hotel, The Villas Residence, we had both dinner and lunch here - two separate couples. Good food, plenty although not much finesse and a great selection of ales, which you can try before you buy.

We love visiting The Baum, one of the few nice pubs in Rochdale Centre but we were left disappointed on our last visit. We booked a conservatory table for 6, for my daughters 21st - a nice afternoon treat for close family. We were left waiting quite a while for our food (even though the place wasn't at all busy...
