Visited for family get together. Friendly and very helpful staff. Tasty food from excellent choice and good value. Place was very busy but staff remained cheerful and efficient and when hubby paid bill and forgot to present voucher they were happy to redo the transaction. Very impressed as could easily have said it was too late. Would definitely return.

The service and food was good. We stayed in the adjacent Premier Inn prior to an early morning flight. Not fine dining but more than acceptable under the circumstances.

You will be welcomed by cheery smiling staff who take you to a table give you menus, take your order and deliver the food and drinks with a smile. The food is prepared freshly on site and is served hot and well cooked

I was staying at the Premier Inn next door and visited for dinner alone on a wet evening. It's a typically decorated chain pub. I ordered white bait for starter followed by fillet steak with a side of seasonal veg (not too sure how carrots, peas, cauliflower and broccoli are seasonal in June) and crème brûlée for dessert. Food was... More

Ate in here prior to heading into Manchester to see Stone Roses. Had a butchers block & it was lovely. Really nice sausages & loved the asparagus wrapped in Parma ham. Really lovely staff and felt very welcome

We went for a meal on Friday night. We had not booked and managed to get one of the last tables in the restaurant area (NB - should consider booking on Friday or Saturday). The menu choice is good and the staff are very friendly. The decor is very tasteful after the refurbishment. Try the Chicken Makhani. A great Tifin... More

Rather disappointing roast. The peas were typical pub cooked, overdone. Chef forgot the stuffing and this was served separately. The apple pie for dessert was ok but not brilliant

On way back from Wales thought we would try a different restaurant. Part of Chef & Brewer chain thought we would have the Sunday roast as prices reasonable. Good portion of pork loin served with usual veg. Generally nice tasting and well cooked. Had the Bramley apple pie for dessert, pastry a bit soggy (microwaved?) but apple quite nice

the restaurant/pub was lovely for a beer however the slow service and not very high quality food was unappealing and counteracted any pleasantness that I may have previously thought.
