We went for the four-course lunch : crab and cauliflower, foie gras, partridge then green tea dessert. All superb as was Olivier, the maitre d'.

I've been to Tristan's a few times now after being introduced to it by friends. It never disappoints. On this occasion it was a breakfast visit and as usual, simply great food, service and coffee (very important to have good coffee in a morning). Would recommend to anyone!

Definitely the best meal I have had for a very long time. Our group of four, went for the four-course option and each course was an absolute delight - the restaurant is totally worthy of its Michelin star. The food was exceptional and the courses were well spaced out, giving us time to savour each one fully. The home cooked... More

They are pushing the boundaries here. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but we like that and we like to try unusual combinations (provided they actually work together!) This place has a Michelin star, if it loses it I will eat my proverbial hat: if our meal was anything to go by it was well-deserved. Wine list is good and... More

Four of us visited and had the 6 course tasting menu. The quality, presentation and taste sensations of the food was outstanding. The sommelier gave an introduction to each wine that accompanied the dishes. For what we had it was certainly worth every penny, so waiting until our budget permits whereupon we look forward to returning.

Celebrated a lovely birthday lunch here. Food exceptional and great value. Staff really helpful. Had 3 course lunch and sommelier recommended perfect white wines for our courses. Was particularly impressed with attention to detail.

I went here with my wife a while ago and I don't normally feel comfortable in places like this but what an amazing place. Food was 10/10 staff very good and didn't rush you, over all a very very good evening, I highly recommend this restaurant and the prices are very good also

We recently ate lunch here and vowed to return for an evening meal with friends which we did last Friday. After drinks downstairs we were shown upstairs to our table. The restaurant is spacious and warming without feeling on top of anyone else. One of our friends prefers not to eat meat so we opted for the four course dinner... More

Went to Tristan's for lunch today. The food and service were incredible as always. During lunch I had to keep popping out to take calls as there was a problem with my elderly parents 3 hours away. When the main course came, I was on the phone so they said they would put my meal on a hotplate, but instead,... More

Popped in for the select menu on a Tuesday evening. The price seemed fair: £30 for 4 courses (although portions were small). I would suggest ordering sides if you're a big eater like me. The food was delicious! It was my first time trying most things on the menu - amuse bouche, lemon sole, crab and an apricot soufflé with... More

Description
Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting for lunch or dinner. Chef and Proprietor Tristan Mason worked in top restaurants like The Greenhouse and Mirabelle before becoming Head Chef at The Hare where he achieved his first Michelin Star. The menu at Restaurant Tristan is predominantly British with some creative French influences, with dishes like terrine of pheasant and turbot with truffle risotto taking centre stage. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the extensive wine list is designed to complete this truly unforgettable dining experience.
