Amazing food, attentive yet not fussy waiters, wonderful wine list- reviews saying the food was overpriced clearly don’t appreciate Michelin star quality. Honestly, if you are a lover of fine dining then this place will be right up your street.

Beautiful restaurant combining class with informality. The dishes are exquisite both in terms of favours and presentation. And served by personable, knowledgeable and attentive staff. My starter of foie gras with espresso and dates was a perfect fusion of tastes which you wouldn’t ordinarily imagine...More

Very inventive and tasteful cooking - somewhat downgraded by fact core basis of the menu rarely changes. For instance, slow, low temperature cooked egg seems to have been on the menu since our new Duke of Sussex was in short trousers. So rarely now revisit....More

First time at Tristan's and it was the first of what I hope will be many visits. A glorious menu and, of great importance, a matching multi-course menu for my vegetarian guest. Each dish was presented with such care and attention, matched by superb tastes...More

If I were you I’d take the carry COYS as space is quite limited in the restaurant bar area downstairs. Upstairs has more space but getting peaks upstairs would be very tricky. However it is well worth the visit.

No specific parking but plenty of public car parking close by. There are disabled parking places in town if needed.

Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting for lunch or dinner. Chef and Proprietor Tristan Mason worked in top restaurants like The Greenhouse and Mirabelle before becoming Head Chef at The Hare where he achieved his first Michelin Star. The menu at Restaurant Tristan is predominantly British with some creative French influences, with dishes like terrine of pheasant and turbot with truffle risotto taking centre stage. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the extensive wine list is designed to complete this truly unforgettable dining experience.
