This was my second visit to London in a very short period of time. As always the service was perfect with the team remembering me and greeting me. I was served by daria and she made me feel at home with polite conversation and always has a beautiful smile which can lighten any evening. The food was delicious as it... More

I have a disabled son and I cannot fault the staff at The Travellers Rest for the way they make us feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is good and value for money. I go there regularly and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Just finished staying in the Premier Inn next door for a week so have eaten here as food was paid for by the company, first evening the service was prompt and above what I would expect from a venue like this one, food was not excellent, about on par with a wetherspoons (although double the price). Second evening arrived late... More

Great breakfast, buffet style, eat what you want and as much as you want. Really sets you up for the day. Dine before 6.30 for the best value, good choice, well cooked and tasty!

We bought 2 portions of chips with drinks to start with and could not believe that there were 7 to 8 fat chips for £3.50 per portion. The pun is spacious but certainly need renovation.

My daughter went to the local travellers rest with her friends and came back disappointed with the new menu. She had salmon on a base of vegetables, the base was a few fried onions. On complaining she did her meal paid for but a Whitbread establishment should employ the best chefs they can, it is not cuisine but good old... More

We attended the restaurant on Easter Sunday, we were seated quickly and our orders were also taken quickly. The food also arrived quickly but this is when everything went downhill. We ordered 4 medium cooked steaks & 1 medium rare steak, we were served 5 pieces of leather. I called the waitress to bring this to her attention, firstly she... More

Glass was found in my daughters sundae, she had already swallowered some by the time we knew what is was. (Sunday 13 March 2016). The manager did not come over or apologise. I brought teh glass to the waiter. I had to take my daughter to A&E an xray showed glass lodged in her chest and she was admitted to... More
