As locals go the Barns has got to be one of the best around. We start our weekend there every Friday with a 'straight after work' meal before going home to relax! The staff are always brilliant and prompt with the food (which is devine) and the menu is revised every three months or so, although this does mean you... More

Stayed in the hotel over the weekend as we were in the area for a family bereavement. The hotel is situated at the back of the main building and is in 2 parts. The room is set out almost identical to a Premier Inn room. The only problem is the cost of the room is slightly more per night than... More

Reasonable prices for a menu that is somewhere between pub and restaurant food. There was wide but not too much choice along with Sunday roast options each with traditional side orders. I was the only one with any room for pudding, and I doubt any of us ate for the rest of the day. Fabulous setting in reworked old barn... More

Really nice pub food with vegan options. Cost is reasonable and service is good. Recommend the Vegan pasta with garlic vegetables, but avoid the hoisin options as there is too much sauce. The main downside is that there are very limited dessert options for those with special dietary requirements. It's popular and gets very busy so booking is essential.

Arrived with family for a meal and they couldn't accommodate us to eat , saying there were no tables . We decided to stay for a drink and were asked to move our table to allow a table of 8 to eat , after we were told there was no room for us ! So can't rate the food but... More

We have been a few times for family meals. Staff are friendly and Helpful. The food was good and plenty of it. The price's are average for a good pub meal ( £10 to £15 a meal).

We were staying at the Barns and ate there on the first night. For our main course, we both chose salmon. The brown spicy sauce with it was so strong that it overpowered the delicate fish and the chips were possibly the worst we've ever had - soggy and limp. We asked for the remains of our bottle of wine... More

Two of us popped in for an evening meal on a Monday in September. We didn't book and found a table easily, although there were plenty of tables reserved for customers arriving later. Staff were very friendly, and took our order at the table rather than us having to go to the bar. My friend ordered a vegetarian stir-fry which... More
