Guarda is not a village abuz with shops and restaurants; rather, it is an historic village with architectural gems, some centuries old. I enjoyed lunch at Ustaria Crusch Alba in one of these buildings during the quiet May season. I ordered the smoked trout salad which was a specialty at the time. It was delicious and beautifully presented. The chef/owner... More

A nice and cozy restaurant in Guarda suitable for a special meal. Our visit in the tourist shoulder season (early May) meant that the restaurant (and the town) was mostly empty, but we enjoyed excellent service and a really tasty meal. The Engadiner specialties (the Bündnerfleisch plate, the nut torte, the polenta dishes) were delicious and are highly recommended. For... More

Very good, own receipe style local kitchen. Authentic. Service frendly, cosy atmosphere in the restaurant, historical location.

This is a small place in the middle of the lovely town. It is a small restaurant with a few tables outside. It has a large selection of booze, beers and wine. We sat outside and had a pre dinner drink with a plate of local cheeses and salami with was excellent. The service was rather temperamental but not unpleasant

We went for dinner with our family on a very cold evening in January 2015 and the restaurant was empty. Nevertheless, a fantastic dinner was prepared only for us! The owners, a friednly Swiss couple with husband in the kitchen and wife at the tables, run the restaurant with passion and dedication. They have lots of experience and offer dishes... More

Had a light lunch here on a very snowy day - simple vegetable soup and fresh bread was delicious. Also visited several other times for coffee or a beer. Owners are helpful and very well-informed about the area. Log fire, wood panelling - just what you need on a cold day. Highly recommended.

The service was excellent. The charming maitre'd/waitress called the chef to translate the menu for us. He voluntarily went through the whole thing in a very pleasant unhurried manner - so unusual! Lovely interior, comfortable, small fire in open fireplace set into the wall. Small bowl of barley soup delicious. Could not find any plain fresh potato dish on the... More

First of all, the village of Guarda is a breathtaking little jewelry box 1600 meters high in the Swiss Alps with its medieval farm houses and cottages. We found this restaurant in one of these old typical alpine farm houses which is run by a local couple. We only wanted to have a selection of local cheese and a nice... More

We didn't speak the local language, so we didn't know what to expect or what to order, so we left it up to the owner to chose for us. Everything was perfect, and all of the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked good! This is a must.

Small, well-situated restaurant-cafe with an incredible array of interesting local spirit. A very good place to watch people go by and chat to friends.
