This was not the special experience that we had hoped for. This is seen as THE place for raclette in the region, and it was even not so easy to get a reservation for this place. The food in general was good, but it was...the service that lacked the professionalism and quality I expected from a place like this. Most importantly, I was very surprised to see that one of the people preparing the raclette (which was done on the terrace) was working with bare hands and was scraping of the first bit of cheese with his fingers, on the customer’s plate! The raclette was a choice of 5 cheeses and only after a question, they came with a map of Switzerland to show where they came from. They promised to provide more explanation on the cheeses later, but never did. They also forgot the order of one of us and we had to remind them for our requested bottle of wine. No excuses made. At the dessert, we ended up getting the same dessert twice (once after we had already paid the bill) and also the coffee only came after we had requested and received the bill….More

I can highly recommend the tasting of 5 different Raclette. It was really interesting to tast the different regions. The place was quite full and the staff had very much to do but it was a good service.

Very bad! Unfortunately I walked all the way to try the great Swiss cheese fondue and I arrived at the restaurant at 14:06, and was informed that only cold food like salad or steak tartare after 14:00. I asked for a steak tartare and it’s...not up to any standard! Awful experience! At theMore

We went there for 10 anniversary of our wedding. Everything where perfect. The food was amazing. The atmosphere nice and friendly. Our son who is a big fun of cheese had a selection of raclette and he had all 5 types of cheese offered. And I...am not talking about the wine list... It was a good experience.More

A great place to sample both raclette & fondue, with a great selection of Valasian cheese and a HUGE wine list. Eating out in Switzerland is not cheap *anywhere*, so with that in mind I actually felt this was very reasonable given the location and...ambience. Have not tried their other dishes (why order a steak here??) - but both fondue & raclette were well presented and yummy. As some have commented, order the raclette sampler of 5 flavours, and you can actually eat as much as you want afterwards. However do note: this creates complications if you are sharing. Our party of four ordered 2 x fondue (combined into one pot), and 2 x raclette. That's fine: but if we share the raclette, then they will charge per portion instead (no longer 'all you can eat'). It is understandable. Fondue comes with plenty of bread, whereas raclette comes with plenty of potatoes, pickles, and small onions. With the shared fondue, 3 x potions of raclette each was more than enough.More

The best tastings of Swiss Valaisan specialties served in a great old world building. A not to be missed visit when in the Sierre region

Nice place with a wide menu with many cheeses and wines. Not all the staff are speaking English but they can manage to find you a right waiter. We enjoyed the lunch. I had three raclette cause it was delicious and they cook it write...in front of you. I also had a grape juice which was amazing. And we had different bottles of wine which you can also purchase after from their shop with a discount to take away. I do recommend this place for everyone who appreciate good food and service!More

This charming old castle is in the old centre of town and off the main road network, so if you are driving through Wallis you might miss it. But it worth a visit! They have a unique selection of local wines and raclette cheeses you...won’t find anywhere else. We went for their classic: 5 raclettes from 5 different producers (changed regularly, so every time you go you might get new ones), in case you are still hungry afterwards you can select your favourite of the fives and continue. The staff is friendly and the location inside and outside is beautiful.More
