Fantastic restaurant

Have just returned from 4 days in Palmanova and had to review this fabulous restaurant that had been recommended to us by friends. We were a party of 11 ladies celebrating my 60th birthday and I’d booked online a few weeks before going. We had a great table in the middle of the restaurant. Service was very attentive throughout the evening, we didn’t wait too long for our food and this gave us time to enjoy a few drinks first and chat. We all tried various dishes and couldn’t fault any of them. I had the chicken satay which was delicious, followed by the seafood paella which those of us who shared it said it was the best we’d ever eaten. Those that had desserts said they were delicious too! We didn’t find it expensive- I’ve paid more locally at home for not such great food and drinks. Great Ibiza tunes playing in the background all evening (we just found the big screen showing football a bit off putting!!) 100% will be returning here!

We have been enthusiastic and loyal regulars at the excellent Siso Beach restaurant in Palmanova for several years. We would like to explain to you why this is the case: - Delicious and varied cuisine, tasty cocktails, a large selection of fine wines and all at an excellent price-performance ratio - Perfect, attentive and professional service - here the guest still feels like a king - Fantastic ambience, trendy IN restaurant - without seeming pretentious and on the first sea line with a sensational view of the white sandy beach and the turquoise blue sea - MEGA background music with hip DJs, live singers or saxophonists. Magicians also perform from time to time, so there is always something for the guests here - Smoking is allowed at the tables outside - Open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. (with the entire range of all dishes) - Table reservation via WhatsApp - you get an answer straight away Everything here is just right. We know so many restaurants on the island, but Siso Beach is definitely one of the best restaurants on Mallorca. We, Alex, Gabi, Ruben and our dog Paco, would like to thank the entire Siso Beach team for the always sensational stays with you.

I really don’t know how I have not written a review before now I have been going for over 4 years now Were do you start Probably with the staff ,they are all perfect at there job they have all worked there every session I go I can only assume they guys that own the restaurant are very good to work for The atmosphere is always great good music plenty of laughter at all the tables. As for the food they have a great selection of fresh sea food Steaks and a lot more . I tend to order the same thing only because no one else makes it and prepares it the way they do. I have the spring rolls for starters my partner had the scallops for the main course I have the chateaubriand it comes out on a serving plate already sliced and part cooked they give you a hot plate so you can cook it yourself it is lovely cooked with a bit of rock salt it is under chef’s special on the menu I also had some mac & cheese and chips on the side Had the apple crumble for dessert. If I could give them more stars I would you definitely will not be disappointed when you visit

Despite having eaten at siso previously when we received poor service (we received our food before we’d even received our drinks), we get this was likely to be a one off and so headed to the restaurant again for a birthday celebration. Overall though, this was again an extremely average visit to siso, with all 6 of our party feeling dissatisfied with the evening. After arriving we waited 20 minutes being asked for our drinks order and a further 15 to receive them. During the course of the night we had 6 different members of staff wait on our table, which at times was highly frustrating as when asking for another drink, we were told that someone else would come and take drinks order. The quickest part of the service was when we asked for the bill which arrived within less than a minute. Some Staff were rude and abrupt, however this was not the case for all of them and the food was tasty. The overall setting is lovely, however the music was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other as we tried to converse around the table. Having already given siso a second chance, we will not be returning.

186 terrible/poor reviews and not a single response from this restaurant since 2021. I believe that tells us all what we need to know - they simply don’t care. My review is the same as everyone else who has written a terrible/poor review and that is there are issues here with the service. The food is “fine” nothing out of the ordinary or excellent just “fine” but the service is way below par and you can see from other reviews that this is something that has been an issue for a long time (years) but it just continues. Food is literally shoved down, rather than placed in front of you, nobody comes back to check if you need anything else such as sauces, more drinks etc, nobody asks during or after the meal if you enjoyed/if everything was alright, you will have to shout out or get up from your table to get the attention of a waiter to order dessert or more drinks because after you have been served your main meal, the service will simply not exist, no waiter will come back to speak to you about desert or further drinks. The waiters seem very unorganised and are literally running around the place, lifting trays of food over each other’s heads, running in and out of the kitchen, no time to speak to paying customers for any sort of small talk/chat. We booked a table MONTHS in advance and when we arrived got the WORST table in the entire restaurant. Our table was away from every other table and was pushed up against the window that held the tank of live lobsters, right next to the entrance/exit of the kitchen, so we had waiters constantly running past our table with trays of food. There is no time for politeness - the waiters simply don’t say words such as “please” or “thank you” or “smile”. They literally are running around in white shirts that are obviously too hot to wear in the 35 degree plus heat in August, you can see the sweat running down their face! They seem over-worked/under staffed and as a result their unhappiness shines through. No wonder this place automatically adds the 10% service charge as the service is so terrible, I don’t believe anyone would actually leave a tip otherwise! Plus that’s another issue- why is there an automatic service charge? This isn't America! waiters and all the other staff make a living wage, there is a minimum wage by law, so why is there an automatic service charge? In Europe the tip is given for “excellent“ service, it is not part of Europe’s culture to just randomly add a 10% service charge. More waiting for the bill, got so fed up of waiting that we just left the cash on the table.

Usally a Fabulous place always vist here on our trips. This time was not good at all. So we arrive to lots of people running around very loud drunk table opposite us. We sit for 20 minutes before getting asked for a drink I ordered sangria I couldn’t drink it it was awful. Then another 15 minutes to order food we waited and waited to our goats cheese salad this is one of my favourite dishes here frozen berries that nearly broke my tooth lettuce that was so dry it just been thrown on a plate after our starter we waited and waited and waited for our plates to be cleared so many people running around but very little getting done after an hour of sitting there we still hadn’t had our main course. Eventually it came I’d asked to change my potato’s to chips I wasn’t allowed so had to order separately. My steak was supposed to be medium but unfortunately was rare. I received a plate of very dry leave that looked like it needed a wash, pale potatoes covered in grease and 1 greasy cherry tomato.no check back to see how are food was This is not what it used to be the food use to be exceptional but I feel like it’s very pretentious and it’s all about what it looks like rather than good food and drinks and service. Walked away feeling very disappointed

The venue is stunning right on the beach at palma nova, tried to visit but was fully booked so made reservation for following night. On arrival seated and order taken promptly via an on line menu. The starters arrived ridiculously quickly, literally before the waitress could offer bread or olives etc. the food was hot, delicious and tasty. Having ordered a dish that takes 20 mins they could have delayed the starters slightly. Tried to order an additional glass of wine but had to chase 3 times before it finally arrived. Mains arrived and were hot, tasty and as required. Ordered dessert, the apple crumble was to die for. On requesting the bill, we asked 4 times, even to the point where the waitress commented “this is a joke” … just a suggestion but remove the automated requests first everything and just ask the person for a bill. Overall it wasn’t an amazing meal just ok

Was really excited to visit Sisso beach as my boyfriend had previously been and told me it was great! I really looked forward to having Surf and Turf. This experience soon turned sour. We firstly arrived, (having prebooked this Resturant about a month in advance) an the front of house was rather cold. One lady led us to the very back/side of the restaurant, I asked “could we have a table at the front outside please?” (It was empty at this point with a few tables available at the front, not reserved btw) we got told no. Was sat by lots of trees amongst family’s and other brits… say no more. The waiters kept getting confused and looked like they didn’t know what they were supposed to be doing. We was brought two things to our tables which weren’t our order AND things we’d ordered (such as ice) we seen getting given to another table before they realised it was us who asked for it. Seemed very unorganised. When ordering the waiter was very impatient with us when we was deciding how we wanted our steak (i do not like my steak bloody but wanted it pink still) we both requested for medium. The steak arrived to us pretty much blue, my boyfriend likes it rare but even he said it was not what he wanted. Needless to say I did not eat the steak. Lobster was nice but obviously not enough without the steak. This meal was not cheap either. I didn’t even want to send the steak back because of the way the waiters had been with us. To top off this uneasy experience, when we asked for the bill they had added on two soft drinks we clearly hadn’t had. They recitfied this after it being pointed out. This meal was not cheap and probably the most exspensive since coming to Palma Nova and it was the biggest let down ever. I will be telling my friends and family to avoid. My boyfriend has been the past 2 years with friends and has also now decided that he will not be returning. Much better places around Sisso. Origin and Iroko were amazing and much better priced! Don’t waste you’re money on Sisso.

We were a party of 6. We were located on a beautiful round table with a beautiful backdrop... we had told them we were there for a celebration and we were given a complimentary glass of cava on arrival, which was a lovely touch.. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. One male member of staff was lovely, the others, not so much. We pretty much had to ask for everything twice before it arrived (additional drinks, a straw, the bill, a card machine). We ordered 5 x steaks and 1 x surf and turf. 3 of the steaks weren't cooked, how we'd asked, 2 were sent back as they were blue, rather than medium. The steaks need vegetables with them, which isn't a side order option (only asparagus). They would be better reducing the menu options and doing them well. It was busy, our wait time was about 1.5 hours. We weren't offered desserts or coffee. Overall the location is stunning, the food was average, and the service was below average, based on everywhere else we'd been on this trip, which made it feel very expensive for what it was...... we'd had better meals elsewhere for a lot less. Note: They will only allow one card transaction per table, so take someone with plenty of money in the bank or cash 🤣🤣🤣

Customer Service Is Poor

The food was okay, although, very pricey for what it is - I suppose that's what good marketing/branding can do... You'll notice a lot of reviews on how poor the customer service is here. After dining here myself, I'm now part of the group. Here's my experience... Firstly, you are told to wait near the front entrance (fair enough right?), however, when you do so a blonde lady working front of house is stood on a podium about 10 meters away from you then quietly says 'hello'. It's so strange and confusing and many people coming into the restaurant couldn't hear her so she would just repeat it numerous times like an obnoxious parrot... Surely you should be greeted up close, escorted into the restaurant with full eye contact throughout? It's just basic communication skills and something you would expect at any restaurant. Secondly, we were sat at our table, quickly forgetting the shady first impression set by the blonde lady, only to be sat waiting 20 mins watching all the waiters and waitresses pretending to look busy, chatting amongst eachother and walking around like zombies. To put it short, not ONE of them approached us! I had to call a waitress over and say 'is anyone serving here?' and ohhh she didn't like that 😂 The death stare was so obvious masked behind a fake smile. I am paying premium prices, so I expect solid customer service, is that too much to ask? The food did come out fast, but again, it's very average. Definitely not worth €42 price tag for one main course that's for sure. Lastly, if you prefer to go to a restaurant full of pretentiousness to take a photo of subpar food with fancy looking cocktails accompanied by the worst customer service in Mallorca, get yourself here, you won't be disappointed! Oh yeah, expect to pay an arm and a leg for that experience too 🫰🏼

Avoid this place, we ordered a steak with potatoes and veg and asked if we could change the potatoes to chips, not a problem you'd think, but when the bill came they still charged us for the potatoes even though they weren't on the plate and charged us for extra chips. When we challenged the Manageress an older woman, she had a shocking attitude. Would not recommend this place, but would recommend Be Max just a few more steps down the promenade, amazing steak and lovely staff.

Good food but terrible service

We went to Siso as a recommended place to go. The food was lovely but the service was awful. Our waiter was very unhelpful in letting us know the beer on tap and then spent the next 5mins taking selfies of himself and was constantly on and off his phone for the evening. We were never asked how our food was and we had to ask when we wanted more drinks and had to ask for desserts as there was no follow up attention from any of the waiters. It is not a cheap place to eat and as I say the food was lovely but hugely spoilt by the lack of service of basic customer care

Not one to ever leave a bad review (in fact I have never even left a review on trip advisor) but my experience in the restaurant last night warrants one. We visited Mallorca in 2021 and visited siso beach on 3 seperate occasions as we enjoyed it so much. Now returning in 2024 we were most excited to visit this restaurant and booked in advance. The service we received was beyond underwhelming. As many previous reviews have mentioned, we continuously had to chase up the servers for basic requests. From start to finish we were not asked if we wanted drinks or how the food was, we ordered the Chateaubriand which was 80 euro ( not including sides) and the waiter didnit bother to explain that you cook this yourself on a hot plate. our meal came to 125 euros for one drink each and a main course. The food was nice but when you are paying that price you expect the service to be on par. The server made us feel uncomfortable and the service ruined our experience. Sadly we will not be back despite really enjoying the venue previously. Do better!

Having been here nearly a week and experiencing exceptional food and service and service at every other restaurant (Beso beach, Origins, Il Chiringo, Calvia beach club) I would urge you to not come here. The service was entirely abysmal which ruined our meal. Our waiter (Marcel apparently-written on our receipt) was distracted and disinterested. No welcome, no small talk, not even an acknowledgment of anything we said when ordering. He seemed more interested in an apparent argument going on between him and a blonde waitress. Our drinks arrived quickly-delivered by another waiter-and were good. Starters-pulled pork tacos and spring rolls-came not long after and didn’t rock our world but were fine. Then came the issue, a 45 minute wait between our starters being cleared and getting our main. We asked Marcel where are mains were and we’re literally ignored! No response and he walked off we thought maybe to find out where they were but when he reappeared we received no apology for the wait or an explanation where our mains were or how long they would be. We then had to ask someone else, who seemed to rush them along and they came out shortly after. Surf and turf and corvina and truffle mash. Both dishes cold and disappointing. My partner requested a cleaning towelette for his hands after the lobster, it was never brought so he just had to go to the loo to wash them. Even to pay the bill we couldn’t get anyone to come over so we just walked up to the hostess station and paid there. Everything just seemed like too much trouble for the staff. And I don’t think it seemed like they were overworked, there seemed an adequate amount of tables per member of staff. I don’t know I just think we have had such a great experience elsewhere and this all just left a bad taste in my mouth. The venue location and decor is lovely, good music, good menu but being let down by staff and service. A few other reviews mention it feeling pretentious which I also agree with. I don’t know why though, it’s not even THAT cool! Get over yourself! Beso Beach for example is far cooler, better food and exceptional service. In summary, take your money elsewhere as it’s not a pleasant experience

Avoid if you want to feel you’re an inconvenience! We visited Siso. We hadn’t booked and so waited 1hr for a table at the bar. In that time, there were tables free that were free the duration of our time in the restaurant. Not sure why we had to wait… When we sat down to eat, we were given menus. We were told when ordering our food that the menus were out of date so the prices were different as were the accompaniments. Why not provide up to date menus instead of assuming everyone uses smartphones. Service was slow and staff were inattentive apart from one lady. We were told we were going to be given a limoncello but after waiting a while and asking where they were, we were told we weren’t getting them as the restaurant was closing. We eventually were given them but some members of staff were rude and clearly annoyed about it. We asked if they could ring us a taxi as we were staying in a different resort. They said no. We were left wandering the streets looking for one. Happy to take your money but not provide service to match the overpriced cost. Food totally average. They’re taking advantage of their beach front location and the fact that tourists are unlikely to return so relying on one time custom.
