We returned to El Olivo for a quiet meal at the end of our holiday to Port Soller. La Residencia is only a half hour trip from the Port, along a windy, mountainside road, and well worth the trip. We started with a champagne cocktail in the bar, which although rather pricey, was delicious! The bar has live music most... More

We were treated to the 7 course taster menu as an Anniversary gift and were not disappointed in any way by the cuisine. Absolutely sensational food, exquisitely presented - a real feast. The restaurant is very expensive though so be prepared .....

The ambience of this restaurant along with excellent food ( small amounts of vegetables) make this a restaurant in our top 10 in the world The space is well thought out and if anything I would say the waiters were rather too attentive sweeping our plates away the minute we finished but receptive to our request for a slower meal... We had dinner and lunch here. Dinner was elegant with a wine list to match. Pretty pricey but pretty wonderful, too. We had a lively and delicious tapas lunch here, too, that was as fun as it was delicious.

Faultless service and cuisine. The scenery is breathtaking! Very romantic. Take away a souvenir bottle of olive oil. Good enough to eat with bread alone....locally produced

Ensure you make a booking with the restaurant when you book the hotel- it can get fully booked. Service was very good. Food was locally sourced and had plenty of cultural influences.

We were staying in Palma but I wanted a special place for my big birthday, so drove the twisty, windy road from Palma to Deia - it was well worth it. Service attentive without cloying, food delicious, as you might expect, and sitting on the beautiful, decoratively-lit patio with the night sounds and quiet murmurs from other diners was enchanting.... Nice atmosphere inside as it was October. Lovely building and gardens. We had arroz and foie gras and turbot and sea bass. Very nice. Slightly too rich and Michelin type fussiness. Limited offer of wines by the glass. Good service. Friendly. Expensive for what it was with a glass of wine. 170 euros. No dessert. Would I go again. Probably... More

Great atmosphere, fabulous food and wine and marvellously attentive service. Eat the traditional Mallorcan dishes and drink Spanish wine.

El Olivo Restaurante is a refurbished 16th century olive press, offering a superb menu and equally an impressive wine list. Situated in the beautiful Belmond La Residencia, this is perhaps one of the finest restaurants in Mallorca. The outdoor area, lit by candlelight is a supremely romantic dinner setting.
