this is one of the best places in the island to order the traditional "porcella" (suckling pig). Service was excellent. Friendly and quick. Food perfectly cooked. Portions were generous. Everything was fine.

As a fairly regular traveler and a frequent visitor to Arta this is one place we have driven past when going to the many coves in the area and often thought about trying for dinner. We arrived at about 21:00 to have a drink and just to look at the lovely surroundings before sitting down to eat, unfortunately there is... More

The restaurant is in beautiful surroundings next to the famous Torre de Canyamel. We went for a family meal for 4 in the early evening, and were certainly not disappointed by the food. There was a very good choice of starters, and the portions were large. Small appetites beware, you may have to leave room for the main course! The... More

We probably over-ordered, evidenced by the substantial piece of suckling pig that we brought home with us (in a container helpfully provided by the staff). The reason was a feeling that we didn't want to miss out on anything - it all looked delicious. The food is local, well cooked and served by friendly and helpful staff. The surroundings are... More

This was recommended in a guide book - and lived up to our expectations. Local cuisine, delicious, quality, and great setting.

The restaurant is a busy rustic place in the shadow of an ancient tower. We ate outside under the vines which is great at the time of year we were there. It's not necessarily the place you want to go for a quiet meal, the tables are very close together. It may be quieter inside. The food choice and the... More

Lovely restaurant next to a fortified tower. Eat among antique olive presses. Bustling service and lovely Majorcan food and wine. Unique!

fantastic place for dinner. Old tower at the road from Arta to Canyamel. If you stay in Capdepera, Cala Rajada, Canyamel or Arta and have a car, do not miss the opportunity of their great meals. We tried the Sa Porxada salad, sirloin steak and fried lamb chops - awesome.

Strange to eat next to a main road to Canyamel, but goes unnoticed in this busy and lovely setting. Service was good and food was well presented. Well worth the trip

My wife and I used to come here 42 years ago before getting married and moving to the UK. Now that we live in Mallorca we thought we would go back, but it isn't the same! The food is best described as simple rustic fare, spit cooked chicken and pork, and the speciality is still supposed to be the suckling... More

Description
Located some metres away from Torre de Canyamel, this restaurant is famous for the high standard of its traditional Majorcan cuisine, and, above all, for the star dish "porcella" (suckling pig), made on a natural holm-oak tree wood fire. The pigs are raised on the same farm of the restaurant, which is a perfect example of fresh and natural cooking you can relish sitting at a table of Porxada resurant
