We have visited numerous times over the years and it is always excellent. The most varied and tasty menu around. Goat, oxtail, lamb and boar all great today and service spot on as well.

Went here for a long leisurely lunch today with family and friends. Stunning views, the restaurant nestled in a tiny hamlet offering wonderful home cooked food. What followed was a range of starters (chorizo, black pudding, cheese/spinach filled croquettes, green peppers) followed by an array of chicken, kid, wild boar, lamb and oxtail, each in abundant rich sauce. If that... More

A must every time i'm in the area is a nice hike over the hills ending with a perfect lunch in this charming restaurant. great homemade food and friendly people. If you get the chance, pop in to Antonios little shop down the street while you're there.

El Acebuchal is not only a restaurant at all - it's place established on the ruins of an old village. You do not visit just to eat, but to look and understand all efford and hard work put down to make it what it appears today. All food are locally grown/huntet and prepared as done for years: good home cooking.

On the recommendation of Trip Advisor, we traveled to this Bar and Restaurant from Frigliana - took the road where is the bar and restaurant was signposted. The sign showed lots of lovely things to eat but did not state the opening times! After a very long arduous Journey on dirt tracks we arrived at the restaurant 7 pm to... More

Visited the hamlet and stopped here for a drink but then decided to eat. Home baked bread was superb as was the black pudding and chorizo. Friendly staff, lovely view. Highly recommend this place.

Followed a narrow track road to this rural Bar/Restaurant which turned out to be excellent. I had Wild Boar with garlic and my partner had Duck in orange sauce, both were delicious. The accompanying home made bread was so good that we bought two loaves to take home. Couldn't fault the extremely pleasant service and food. Highly recommended.

We only stopped for a drink but decided to have a cake as well which was fabulous. The meals on the menu also looked good with a variety of home cooked dishes inc partridge and wild boar. It is well off the beaten track and you could think you have taken a wrong turn. But it is well worth the... More

In the out-of-the-way hamlet of El Acebuchal, which is part of Cómpeta, this is an amazing setting with incredible food. Even the home-made bread is to die for! Brilliant place - we go there several times a year.
