We go to Tamisa quit often. It is a very good teaditional Spanish restaurant with very reasonable prices a great quality food. A must try sre the goat kid ribs "Costillas de chivo". There home made french fries are fantastic with this dish. I always order it wth fries only, otherwise it comes with fries and boiled veg. Another intersting... More

To be honest this wasn't our 1st choice to eat on that evening, but as we'd walked quite enough, we decided to give it a go. & glad we did! We sat outside where the other customers seemed to be expats, so they must know a thing or 2. We all had garlic bread to share. Bottle of cava 12e.... More

Had grilled rosada (fish) for lunch which was simply served with oil, garlic, lemon and bread and it was lovely, perfectly cooked and light. Couple of drinks and a pleasant man serving, we enjoyed it a lot.

Typical Spanish restaurant. Very clean with friendly and attentive staff. Nice to have a meal or just to call infora refreshing drink.

No welcome/ cosy environment. Problems with communication, (wrong orders, unanswerred questions). Slow service, more talking than cooking in the kitchen. My gf ordered Gamba's, but we got mini schrimps. My french fries were half baked ( raw potato taste) and the dessert, only choice between chocolate mousse or pudding. Well the pudding my 5 year old daughter rejected, had an... More

Has a light lunch at Tamisa, the food was good and friendly staff. The prawn pil pil really was excellent, served with nice crusty bread. They do a good range of typically Spanish food, good quality but is also popular for just stopping off yo have coffee and cake, worth a visit

Since June 2014 Tamisa is a "Meson", that means a traditional Spanish restaurant. For lunch the menu is doninated by fish/seafood as it was servered in the traditional restaurants in the 80ies. Delicious. In the evening BBQ and the same menu. They do not speak English perfectly, but do not let that scare you away from a CHEEP and good... More

I was looking forward to going to Tamisa, as it was one of the reasons to book a stay in Mijas yet again however on the first evening had to suffer a massive shock finding out the old Tamisa has been replaced. Placed was sold to new owners and in fact is totally different. Even swallowing disappointment I can surely... More

This venue WAS a fantastic place for Sunday Lunch. We took some friends there in April - maybe it was 'Winter Menu' time???The best thing I can say - is that the view is spectacular. Menu and choices for Sunday lunch abysmal, so disappointing and in the circumstances - most embarrassing. Come on Hotel Tamisa - please take note of... More

Now totally different. Traditional Spanish fare, good quality and very reasonale prices. Most starters €4-7 and mains at €7. The menu is very simple but the quality of the food is excellent. We had lunch with two starters and two mains, 2 beer and a bottle of rose. All at € 35! Try it!
