This wasn’t a great experience unfortunately. The setting is great but a couple of things went wrong which made it not great. There were 4 of us and we all ordered the rib eye steak (it might have been a tomohawk steak, not sure but...it was a ‘special’) so it actually came as one piece of meat. Not only was it rare & bloody in the middle which the girls didn’t want but it was hardly enough meat for 2 let alone 4. And all we got with it was some lettuce leaves and two small dishes of boiled potatoes. I’m sure we’d have got the same piece of meat if 2 or 3 had ordered it. And there were literally 2 potatoes each. And then towards the end of our meal at about 9:45/10pm, they started clearing all the tables away all around us. It was like they were preparing for the next day. When we complained they said that a regular couple were coming in to eat and they were preparing their table. They apologised of course and gave us 10% off which wasn’t great compensation but by that time we’d had enoughMore

The Service and the food are amazing. We good really good wine recommendations which where a perfect fit to the food we ordered. An the view is just stunning.

Just about every aspect of Vinum was top class: from the welcome as we arrived and the knowledge and attention of all staff. We chose €55 menu each and it proved to be an excellent choice. All dishes were close to perfection. Ambience made it...easy to talk and relax. At the end, the 6 Grapes and 20yo Tawny port were exceptional. If we are back in Porto, we will return.More

Perfect service, perfect food, perfect view!! There isn’t really much more to say than that. Fresh fish caught this morning was delicious. All of our starters were so tasty. Don’t for get the Porto and Tonic cocktail.

We had a great lunch on the terrace with a fantastic view of Porto and the river. We had an amazing tomato salad and fresh Dover sole. Our waitress suggested a house dry white wine which was superb. Our best lunch here in Portugal to...date. We walked up from the central tourist district, which was a bit of a hike. But our exertions justified our luxurious meal.More
