Got there at 345 pm still on the lunch menu! I asked for dinner said the dinner cook wasn't there yet. The lunch menu had full entrees anyways so that was fine. I had the salmon topped with crab and asparagus. It was cooked perfect. Was a good portion and quite tasty! My husband liked the fried calamari so much... More

I have been eating at Freemason Abbeys for several years and at one time it was the top Restaurant in the area. Over the past few years it's been hit or miss. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not even fair. It's really a shame, the wife and I use to love the place. So if you're going to give... More

I thought by the looks and name of this restaurant that it would be a little fancy, but I just turns out to be another greasy food joint. The food wasn't bad, but every restaurant tends to be just another version of burgers and greasy food. This is a take it or leave it place in my opinion.

Service is very good. Steaks, drinks and crab dip--all excellent!! Best to go for lunch because the traffic/parking can be a bit much. However, if you're going for a concert or the opera (both close by) go before the event and you should be good to go!!

I enjoyed the delicious food here. The atmosphere is friendly. Tight parking, but that's typical of Norfolk in that area.

The food and drinks were good. Parents came to visit and we were all pleased with this place. It was all of our first time going and I will probably be back. It's a very historic place...

For the #2 rated restaurant in Norfolk on TripAdvisor, I really expected more. My husband and I split the Chesapeake Crab Dip as an appetizer and it was good, not great. He got the Bourbon Beef Tips while I got the Crab Cakes and they were honestly just average. Was the food edible? Yes, but to be rated so highly... More

The service was excellent. The Beef Barley soup was fantastic and the shrimp Bisque was great. The Reuben was excellent. The Prime Rib in the Philly Cheese steak was good but a little sparse and the sandwich was not up to true Philly sandwich in Philly. The Belgian Chocolate Mousse was one of the best desserts ever, The beer, wine... More

We were heading to a loud restaurant and bar on Granby and noticed the imposing structure and diverted to the Abbey. Unlike the last time we visited it was not wall-to-wall busy. There were many people dining as couples and small groups but it was without hustle and bustle. We were quickly seated in a dark wood booth. The server... More
